Will the VS hover crafts vehicals be able to hover over water? i know its said that vehicals will sink but does this include hover vehicals. also wouldn't a galxy be able to fly over a body of water to another continent? If any of these cant go over water then wouldn't lakes make them sink all so?:trsucks: :vssucks:

It can hover over water for a short amount of time (45 seconds i heard somewhere, but that seems a little too long).
But the Vanu tank/buggy will sink after a while.
And all flying vehicles cannot travel between continents, they must use a warp gate.

Aircraft will run out of fuel and crash and sink and you drown. Do not attempt it.

Aircraft can fly over water without any problem. But each vehicle gets it's power from the buildings (or somesuch thing as that), so once you get too far off shore, you're out of range and will crash for lack of power.

I suggest you just stay away from water until they introduce some amphibious vehicle or boat.
Well as Smokey said gameplay reason is simply it would defeat the purpose of warp gates, in game reason is because every vehicle uses the energy emited from the warp gates on the continents to mvoe around, when they get too far *poof* no more energy.

Think you can cross rivers whit the hovering but not cross lakes...

Dio is correct, all vehicles and buildings run of the energy from the warp gates. Using ANT's you can transport power to buildings, and vehicles draw the energy themselves, however, if you get to far away from a warpgate you start to lose power and will then stall and fall. There will be warnings to try and make you turn back, and only the foolish pilot will crash into large bodys of water. Beware those lakes though, for they are very deceptive and can lure the unwarry to a early and wet death. (No, I am not saying you will lose power flying over a lake)

amma be the one who take his galaxy to the limits of the power that is available to use. right before i start to fall i will countinue along that path untill i end up in the perfect place to end up behind enemy lines unload and kill all u mofo's easily and secretly, a little, ok so you'll be able to see us but still you'll be slightly surprised.

Or you will drown in the middle of the ocean.

why? there aren't lakes so big that it would take 45 seconds or so to get accross. besides, people with the hover abilty will definately not stay on water for long. even if its only a river, thats enough to get away if your running away.

They haven't specified an exact time. Just "about enough time to cross an average river". Theres also a timer that appears telling you how long you have till you sink. Refer to this post:

I wish there was a depth system or something...like if its a relatively shallow river, then I'd think a NC or terran tank should be able to ride across the bottom. OF course the speed would greatly decrease, but it'd be cool, but for example if it was a really deep river...then you accidentally drive staright into a trench *whistling sound* boink, ack, dead. It'd also be cool for ambushses!
