Well, if you have or haven't noticed, I haven't been around too often, as of late. This past Saturday, I graduated college. Did it on time, as well. Funny because I am the only one of my friends that graduated/will be graduating on time. This summer, I intend to play a lot of paintball (Must buy equipment first), work lots, and look for a career job. I can also focus on my website more, which I am very excited about.

Good luck! I imagine the feeling is somewhat unsettling. I'm not looking forward to graduating myself lol.

It really isn't an unsettling feeling, just different. I have 4 years of amazing times. Part of me doesn't want it to end, and another part says it is time to move on and start the rest of my life. I'm happy I graduated, though. I am actually very excited to start a career. Especially after hearing that my girlfriend got the Resident Director position at University of New Haven, I feel like there is nothing wrong in my life right now. She will be close to me, and I get to see her whenever I want. I am taking 2 weeks off because I never actually give myself a break, and my father "threatened" me to take some time off. So I figure what the hell, why not? One thing I am extremely excited about is playing paintball again. I haven't played since last August, and let me tell you that is long enough without paintball in my life.

Congrats on graduating man!
My nostalgia:
I can't believe how quickly time is going by now. It seems like the "rest" of my life is coming up so fast. Even at the same time I can't see myself out of school for more than a summer break. I don't think I really even want school to be done.

Ky, drop me a PM if you want to play paintball. I recently got back into it.

It's weird. When I was in high school, even senior year, I never thought I was actually going to go out into the world. Since I've always lived in the same place, I just felt like I'd always be a student there and life would never change. And while senior year went by quickly because it was possibly the best year I've had (although this year rivals it), life still felt like it was going slowly. Then I got to college and this year went by like lightning. I guess this was a wake up call for me telling me that I have to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with my life. I've got 3 years (maybe more depending on graduate school and stuff) until I have to join the real world, and I'll be honest, it's scaring the shit out of me. And it's still relatively far away.
I dunno, I feel like the past two years of my life have gone by in the blink of an eye. It's frightening how short life really is. When you're a kid you think you have forever.

Exactly my sentiment kikin.

I'm the exact opposite... this year went on forever, and the summer looks like its going to be even longer.
Last august feels like it was centuries ago.
Mind you, I'm not in the least bit terrified about the real world - any good engineering school throws you under the bus soon enough to get that kind of silliness out of you. Not that I would be afraid of it in the first place. The only thing that would be different from the real world for me would be that I wouldn't be paying utilities.

I always tell the kids here where I work, who are in such a rush to graduate to enjoy the year. You will never have it again, and it's a unique experience.
Everyone is always in such arush to get out, only to find out later in life they would love to repeat it hehe.
In most cases anyway, I guess not all ;)

I have to agree with Inf here. Life seems to be moving kinda slow for me as well right now. However, I just finished a long interview process for airport security, which will hopefully look good on a law enforcement resume in a year or two. My guess is that when I start working more and actually getting into my work and not hating it, time will go by faster.

One of my best friends landed a mall security job when he left the military. He's now a sheriff in Michigan. An airport security job will look good on a resume, but do your research and perhaps, in one or two years, start looking for a place to settle down. If it's far away from where you live now get in touch with some of their local law enforcement. They can steer you in a good direction as to how to get on their police force.
My buddy loves his job, his wife and his 2 year old but sometimes wishes he would have moved down south. He's not one for bitter winds and temperatures that go below -10 degrees.

Yea, I hear you there Sent. I know a few people in my counties Sheriffs Department and they say if you can't get in where you want initially, just get in some place where they need people badly and transfer after a bit. I guess I'll have to play it as it comes for the next few years.

I have also decided to join the Free Mason's. I have a friend in the Mason's and I really like what I hear from him. They do a lot of community service, and so forth. Fun stuff to me. Next week I'm going down to the local lodge and I'm going to talk to them about joining. I hope it all goes well.

Aren't Masons sworn to secrecy on such matters?

My grandfather on my fathers side was a Mason.. I was never close to him at all the only times I saw him sadly was at funerals, sadly the last one being his own.
Was kinda neat though, the Masons have some ceremonies they do for those who have passed on.

The large majority of students who are in a rush to graduate don't care.
I don't care about highschool one bit, never did. All it was was a place for me to use the stupidity of other students to my own advantage to get where I wanted to go.
Worked quite well really.

:p they are less a secret society, and more a society with secrets. what they do for the community is definately not a secret, but of course they have traditions that they hold in secret. It isn't a bad organization. Too many misconceptions about them.
And don't worry, I won't be going all illuminati on you guys :D

You need college: MOAR Hot girls, in fact hotter girls than High school, because there are hot ones that actually have brains and good taste.

it's funny, my college is essentially my high school but on a grander and better scale. this doesn't surprise me since about 10 percent of my high school goes here.

I have every intention of taking some more classes. I mean... Hot chicks. I need no other motivation. Plus the learning I guess.
Also I'm going to be working about 10-15 mins away from the college anyways.
