I remember where I was when it happened. But in all honesty you just have to utter the words nine and eleven and people know what you're talking about. Two Thousand and One seems unnecessary and so it's not surprising they forget.
Of course it's a little embarressing after all the "America will never forget" slogans :P~

what my dear wordsmith was trying to say is that the people they selected for the interviews are not a fair representation of the entire country.

Would it have been better if I had said "a country do not make?"

You can do that in any country. You will always have the same results. the probably interviewed 100 people and found the 14 who didn't know what the fuck they were talking about.

There's no way that's legit. I'm not even from the US and I know all the answers to those questions. The "what month" bit especially. If you can speak English you've heard "September 11th" a million times by now.

It's legit.
There is a large number of dumb, ignorant, and apathetic people in this country, given the very large number of people in this country It's statistics.
What's not statistics: They only showed the dumb ones, this is in no way representative of the whole.

I just find it difficult to believe any American could not know that 9/11 happened in September. I thought the media there was all wild and crazy about it for quite a while and gets that way every September after it.
But either way, yeah, I'd hope nobody would watch that and say "lol americans r dum".
