I used to get 4 movie tickets a week, when I worked at one of the local theaters. Although it couldn't be used on some new movies. Had to wait atleast 2 weeks. Fine with me, though. By that time, the theaters just weren't as packed.

Sounds like a shitty deal. Eh. Friend of mine works at the biggest cinema near our place, he gets free movies all the time... hell if he wants to he can see the movies before they come out with the rest of the staff... so he gets to see it two weeks or more before we do....

Lucky bastard.

I think being able to see movies early would be only a small positive in a sea of negatives from working at a theater.

Depending on your position... he's a manager... he basically locks up and does nothing all day unless there's a complaint (or if employee's have a problem) and even there, the complaint/customer service desk deals with it first (mind you it's a 20 room theater with around 20 visible employee's at all time).

The worse I've heard is one of the cleaning guys having to clean up a bunch of semen all over the place (In the same area) in a theater where they were showing Finding Nemo.... wich scares me...

My brother worked at theatre and it indeed does suck. Especially on friday and saturday nights when all the kids are there starting fights and acting like jack offs.

Says he hated watching everyone have a good time while he was miserable.

I would never work at a movie theater, I can barely stand the common movie going people in Philadelphia. The only other alternative would be working in New Jersey, and just ask Mosh, everything in Jersey sucks.

And we're still not sure if it's actually supposed to smell that way, or if the state needs a bubble bath.

We had a naked guy in our movie theater once. Actually, he was wearing nothing but a trench coat, during the summertime. I don't remember what movie he was in, but he was found masterbating. when the cops took him out into the hallway, he actually asked them "Can I go into the bathroom and finish masterbating?"

I remember that vividly. That was one of the funniest things that happen at that movie theater, while I worked there.

The game (so far) is pretty fun. You can be an Autobot or a Decepticon. I chose the evil part first. It's fun running around destroying entire cities and having epic battles with such famous Autobots as Ironhide, Jazz and Bumblebee. I had a LOT of fun kicking the crap out of Bumblebee. I hated him in the cartoon.

She's hot...Like a Fox!

The simpsons is getting to me.

Peacemaker
2007-07-08, 05:57 PM
Yea, she is indeed uber hot. Just one question though. Where the hell did barricade disappear to? Hes in the chase seen, then bonecrusher comes, then he disappears. Starscream is seen leaving the planet after the credits, but barricade (the cop car) is never killed or seen after the chase.

Giovanni
2007-07-08, 06:29 PM
I'm guessing he hid. Starscream basicly did just that. He shot down people... then ran.

Peacemaker
2007-07-08, 10:13 PM
If you stayed for the credits roll you see starscream escaping the atmosphere. Also Optimus picks up a piece of the all spark right before his little speech. This leaves plenty of room for a sequel.

Giovanni
2007-07-08, 10:39 PM
Yeah I noticed both of those. Not a big surprise that Starscream escaped, if you watched the show when you were a kid he is shown as a backstabbing bastard that prefers hit and run tactics vs. brute force that Megatron uses. He was much more clever then the other decepticons too.

Like I said I'm not sure what happened to Barricade but I'm guessing it's not the last we'll see of him.

I'm still wondering why the hell didn't bumblebee finish him off in the first place. I know the autobots aren't evil but he knows that the decepticons are.

Anyways I'm hoping there's a sequel and it's as good as this one.

I really like the comedy in it. The autobots hiding around the house gave me a chuckle. That and the fact they were acting like retards.

Also, hottest girl I've seen in a long time. I'd hit it, over and over again.

well I hope you never watched the old show then, because if you did the movie is pretty much ruined. I mean you know huge spoilers n all.

There's a difference between expecting nothing and then being given big clues as to how the movie ends. Fortunately I have no idea who half the transformers/decepticons are so I'm still ok! :D

That's all you got? A rehash of an old BOHICA thread? I am shocked at the lack of originality. 0/10.

Anyway, moving on to a more mature theme to this thread. There is a difference between watching the movie and watching the TV show. Yes, I know Megatron will get defeated. Yes, I know Starscream would be a whining little bootlicking backstabber. But it's like watching the old black and white westerns. You know the bad guy is always going to be dressed in black and you always know he's going to die in the end. That didn't stop you from seeing he gets hung at the end, right? Same thing here.

OneManArmy
2007-07-12, 01:40 AM
ok then back to the original problem: whats the problem? if it doesn't stop you from watching or enjoying, why complain?

Lartnev
2007-07-12, 06:03 AM
Level of abstraction. Knowing the bad guy dies is a high level of abstraction. Knowing how and why... well those are why you watch a film. And giant fighting robots of course ;)

Sentrosi
2007-07-12, 10:09 AM
I wasn't complaining. I was mearly dissapointed that I now know the end of the film. See, I was the kid who always opened his presents up on Christmas Day. I never went hunting for hidden presents. I always read my books from front to back, never reading the final pages until I get to them. You were the one who has an issue with the thread, not I. I mearly pointed out my dissapointment, and you voiced your opinion. While I do not share yours I can respect it as long as you respect mine.

Aaaaaanyway.... I'd have to say my favorite part besides the hottness that was Megan Fox would have to be when Megatron flicks that random guy into a car. It was so humorous and horrible at the same time... so Megatron. And no, that's not a spoiler of any kind, it's a random scene that has nothing to do with anything.

Megan fox isn't as hot in real life as she is in the movie.

She has the phsyique of a crack attic and nasty tatoos plastered all over her.

She looks like a younger angelina Jolliee.

I never played the game, but it was all advertising, when they pulled the memory stick out they held it in front of the camera, all the phones and cameras were called specificly by their name, they even asked for a credit card in the middle of fighting a (spoiler). All the cars were GM I think and they advertised some 2008 cars....well for all the special effects they need that money. It was all special effects.

I missed the credit stuff. So are we allowed to rewatch it without paying to see the credit stuff at the end since If we bought a ticket and watched it already! 8) I have the ticket stub still if there are any disputes. I even bought two! I went with my mother on the fourth of july to see it before fireworks.

FYI if you live in a city with alot of private fireworks. I recomend driving the highways during the fourth while everyone else is sitting and watching them somewhere. You will get a fireworks show that rivals anything you have ever seen.

Lol after i saw the movie i went and bought just about all of the movie style hasbro toys.

The only problem i had with the movie is that most of the fight scenes were so fast and blurred alot of people i know asked me wich transformer was wich and i was like well thats ironhide kicking devastator's ass. But that is understandable because it is a good way to cover up modeling problems or animation loops etc
