Can I just upgrade my current account to a subscription?

I'm one of the lucky ones to get a PSU 30 day buddy key. I'm enjoying myself, and will probably sub once my 30 days are up.

I just wanted to know if I need to download a different installer, or if it will just ask me to update my subscription info.

You will be able to continue with your same installation, however you will have to purchase the game to obtain a retail key.

im guessing, that after the 30 days is up

youll either recieve an email, or be prompted with some sort of message giving directions on how to further extend the sub to your account,

(by maybe sending you to a site asking for a credit card or time card code)

it should basically be the same for planetside, it's been the same for every trial I have played. Besides, you do get 30 days of play with it, and it's currently 19.99% on the SOE store, not too pricey.
