Err... There's no definitive answer for this question I'm afraid.
Try it out with 3 race characters, and see wich racial weapons/vehicles appeal you best.

Yeah, there are so many variants, you can't just say one is better than the other. Each faction has their own specific version of vehicles and weapons. Example: Vanu get a plasma gun called the Lasher that shoots energy balls that deal massive damage, spamming is easy. Terran get this chaingun that they use to basically mow down everyone, where spamming is also easy. The New Cong get a big shotgun, spamming is easy yet again. Try them all out and just see which one you like.

Go to the training grounds and test all the vehicles and you will develop a taste.

for me i find that the Tr are a good faction to start as, most of there guns are easy to use for me, but I don't know about you :doh:

I'd say it depends on the server. The populations on Markov are so out of whack that anything but the NC are bad to start as, as the NC just like to steamroller over us.

So, you could join a high population with lots of support, or you can go to a team with less population and get XP bonuses. Either side has an up or a down.

There is no easy answer to this question it all depends on your gaming style
Personally I like New Conglomerate because their weapons seemed to be more powerful than the other empires but i know this is probably untrue. My advice is to try out each empire and see which one you like =D.

Alright, here is the low down from what I remember. The TR have weapons that shoot very fast, for less damage, they have vehicles that require more people to operate, but it gives them more firepower.

The NC have hard hitting weapons that don't fire as fast, and their vehicles don't require many people to operate, but generally are harder to use (can't really spam) and fire slower, but more powerfully.

And, in my opinion, the VS are pretty much in the middle of the NC and TR. However, their tank and buggy are very agile.
