6.1 headphones are pretty useless. No matter how hard they try to fool you the fact of the matter is they still have 2 speakers. You're better off with regular ones or getting a 6.1 speaker system.

You need 7 speakers to utilize dolby 6.1. Headphones only use two. :P
Anything over two channels is a waste when dealing with headphones.
I am not sure if there are consumer players of dolby 6.1 yet, or if there is media realeased for the public in 6.1 format.

I bet stores make a killing off you Abrax... Seriously the fact that you even spent that much on a pair of headphones astounds me. Sound quality is good but you don't need to spend $300 on headphones that sound good.
If you want to you can send me $600 and I will glue an extra speaker onto your headphones. :D

The best headphones are stereo.
You dolby 6.1 sounds card should be able to send to a stereo channel.
BTW what are you listening to that is in dolby 6.1?
Do you mean dolby 5.1?

I'm sure you can use the money to upgrade something else that's actually important.

Remember that before you hear the music it must be converted to analog.
I would bet that digital headphones would cost that much. Good D/A converters are expensive. The thing is that you usually have your reciever or sound card do the D/A conversions and have your headphones just have high quality efficient speakers.
