A number from my EVE corp played in the open beta.
Some thought it was interesting but most said it wasn't going to hold their attention very long and they're not going to buy it.

Seeing as its open beta, it won't be perfect right now, but I will say it needs a good amount of changes to occur. mainly a lot of small simple things need to happen.

I was really looking forward to this, but massive delays, and hearing how bad its been, I dont really care anymore.

Whenever I hear that title, the quote "it burns when I pee" comes to mind for some reason.
I mean, think about it. Pirates loot and pillage small coastal villages when they feel like it, so there's GOT to be some raping involved. Thus, burning pee. Ouch.
Yeah it's 2 AM and I'm tired, STFU.

I play it, Black Widow Company is on the Blackbeard server as British. It's a great game. Avatar combat supposedly leaves something to be desired, but ship versus ship and PVP is awesome.

Ship combat is indeed awesome and fun. Avatar combat does indeed suck. Feels alot like wow with that side of the coin. The missions are meh, the PVP is major fun. The issue I see is the only way to make money to PVP is to do so with missions if your a navy guy. The economy is kinda weird right now with it being beta and I never got into it too much but I imagine you can make money that way too.

So I gave it a try for a few hours the other day, I like the ship combat, hate avatar combat, remembered why I dont really like mmos all that much.
Once i get adjusted to playing one again, I might enjoy it more. I need to do some more missions, and get in to the pvp, and ship building. Its tough not having much free time though.

So in other words... it's so-so?

It's got more depth than even EVE in a number of senses.
Dono what that might mean to you.

I hated EVE... so it's not saying alot hehe. If that means it's a tad better then meh... I'll wait for a trial.

The more I play the more I enjoy it.
The economy seems pretty complex, and there is a lot to do in that respect.
Some of the missions are kind of lame, but you cant expect anything to deep or difficult when you are first starting out.

How much is it a month, to play?

It is currently in open beta, although the sign ups are no longer open. So it is free, for now. It will probably be between 12-15 dollars afterwards though.

So you just have to sign up for a station account and you get a free month. I am definitely going to try it out after finals.
