And right now my biggest concern is to either get it on the 360... or the PS3...

No difference has been stated between the two aside from episodic content on the 360... so right now it's pre-ordered as a 360 title but my big concern is the texture effect that was present in mass effect. Where most of the textures would show up bit by bit... slowly. (It sucked big time to see your character engaged in a conversation and slowly get more detailed with every word he spat)

Anyone heard anything?

Am I the only one anxiously waiting for it (and hoping there isn't an EA sticker on it) ?

and hate them or not, consoles are where the games are. I wish my PC saw more action but the sad truth is my 360 gets 10x the amount of play time. excluding 500 MMOS under development not much is on the PC front.

I just refuse to pay more into the machine and rape PC's even more.

I get 300000 uses out of my PC and the console has 1 use then it just sits there.

I've bought 2 consoles in recent years a PS2 and an XBox, both I played for a couple months then just put under the bed.

Plus FPS's suck balls on consoles - mouse and keyboard forever. Only reason Console's see more dev time is because the companies are greedy and see all the ways they can rape customers for more extras as "downloadable content" that PC folk aren't going to pay for :lol:

I don't really care if the game is the same or better on the PC as long as it comes out on it. There are still plenty of games coming out on the PC that I want to play. Been playing alot of TF2 and COD4 MP recently. But in recent months so many games were announced as console only or console first.

My favorite being that new star wars game that looks awesome (The Force Unleashed) is going to be console only. Their reasoning that the PC can't handle the next gen psyics that the consoles can.

Which is complete bullshit because they are releasing it on the Wii.. and even the DS... give me a break :rofl:

It's not about money.

I've never had much respect or liking for the psychological profile of people who play consoles enough to actually have more than one. I'd rather have my computer do it all, much more efficient.

And yes, I consider consoles, kid stuff. Even the socalled hacking and modifications are amusing.

I actually don't have a whole lot of free time on my hands but I prefer to have the options. The only thing that kept me playing my computer that I just got is Crysis and Neverwinter nights 2 (Old game I know still good!).

Oddly enough I have plenty of games on both systems most of which I haven't even finished or started yet.

So, uh, back on topic? Im probably getting it for the PS3, just because I have my XBL subscription coming up in a few months, and I dont feel like renewing it because I never play on Xbox Live. I also heard that the PS3 will be getting episodic content, just different and a bit later.

Nah, there will be no exclusive for the PS3. MS payed over 15 million for exclusive right for episodic content for GTA IV.

As a "We're sorry for this" to Sony, rockstar will be making an exclusive title for the PS3 (no details have been released).

I spoke with the rockstar rep not long ago. That's basically what he said.

I learned about the difference, the PS3 will get slightly better framerate. That's pretty much it. I'm guessing the colors will be a bit washed out like most games due to Sony being dicks about their programming tools and just recently releasing them.

So I got on it for about an hour last night. It's a fun game. the graphics are beautiful. Everything is so detailed. I like that you can bowl in the game. I think it's funny that you can watch tv, and they really have funny material on.

I'm not sure if this is true but do they not have planes in this one? I know the map is smaller than San Andreas, so just curious. I know they have Helicopters, but not sure about planes. I went into the airport and got 4 stars for it.

It's not about 9-11. They spoofed about the paranoia of the terrorist attempts. The environements weren't big enough for planes so they took it out.

You get 4 stars for the same reason you can't cross the bridges at first. You're an immigrant and they're scared shitless of you bombing crap. (and with a reason)

I apparently hit the all too common "Final Interview" glitch where, if you send the resume to the lawyer at night and then save, you never get a call back from them, and can't progress in the game. Unfortunately I didn't have any prior save points so now I have to restart the game. Anybody have this problem or know how to remedy it?

Are you sure that is an actual glitch? I don't remember if it was night time or not when I went to do that mission but, I had to wait quite a long while to get a response from the lawyers after I had sent my resume. Instead I just did other missions and eventually they called me.

Yeah you have to wait a few in game days before they call you. Just keep saving or Pay'n Spray to fast forward the time.

The episodic content is only on Xbox, and there are no details yet, we just know it's coming

Dunno what happened with it but after a week in game I gave up and started over from scratch since I was stupid and didn't have another save point. Didn't take as long as I thought to get back to where I was. Beat it last Friday before I went on vacation, the ending is pretty cool.
