So i find myself in North Berwick, Maine from Santa Cruz, California for a few weeks while my mom makes the long haul across the country with her bf. Basically I've been recruited to house sit his pets, buuut i'm allowed to tour.:)
I've been as far north as Portland, I've seen the Bush compound and possibly Bush Sr., I drove around Boston and saw Fenway (too bad they are in NY), i've seen the sunrise as opposed to the sunset in cali, and I've seen a lot of green and countryside. And I've had enough lobster and mussels to last me through the winter.
Now I must ask....
What else can you do here? What did I miss? I've got the New Hampshire nascar race in 2 or so weeks to look forward to, but i hope it aint the only thing i should be looking forward to.

You honestly just have to be an outdoorsy person in an area like Maine. Snowboarding and Skiing will help greatly. They have some nice Mountains up there.

If you went to Boston you drove right past me
Like Kyonye said you need to be into the Outdoors. You could take a trip over and check out Mount Washington in NH, North Conway/Conway NH.

I think i'm going to mt washington next week. Got a few more beach destinations to check out (very different for me, rocky coast instead of sandy beaches). I do wish i was staying for a bit longer to see autumn come, i'll be just missing all the tree's changing colors when i fly back home. I've definately realized the lifestyle out here, very laid back. And comparing to california, very very little traffic. <3
Funny a few days ago i didn't realize that were i'm at the movie Jumangi was filmed. I watched the movie before i came here and as i was driving i looked over to see that shoe factory. :p
I'll be back here in the winter for a bit so hopefully i'll be able to hit the mountains for some skiiing and go snowmobiling.

My friend is hiking Mt. Washington either next weekend or the weekend after. Just make sure you check the wind advisory. That Mountain has some crazy high winds. It holds the record at well over 200mph.

The road up there is a fun one to drive in the right car too.

If that was the case I'd be busting it to Florida with my moms bf's Vega. My family is trying to convince me to move out to Maine with them. So in their attempts when they finally got to Maine they took me to a Nascar race in NH, a Redsox game (actually we bailed on mt washington for that), and they fed me seafood every other day.
Then ofcourse i got bribed with getting help to fix my Bronco at home to get over to Maine and the amount of 4wheeling trails (and sled trails) they got out there compared to California.
But anyways. Yeah, Maine was cool, i think a must visit out of all the NE states. But I'm going to continue to reside in Cali....they got babes here.

Ain't that the truth. When I was out there I couldn't believe it.. they fucking grow on trees.

They really do. New York City, and all of California, they grow on anything that grows anything
