I thought it would be interesting to see what all you folks are wanting this Christmas? What's the gift you'd like but know there's no chance you'll get? What's the gift you want that you expect?
For me, I would love to get a 5.1 home theater system w/ Blu-ray player, but that's just a little too much right now. I'm gonna have to wait until Blu-ray becomes cheaper.

Honestly, I never ask for anything from anyone. I am a person who prefers to work for everything they own...
Because I am starting a new job, in a couple of weeks, my parents have each decided to by me a suit. They may not be the amazing gift, but I am excited to start my new job, and that includes wearing suits with it.

If you want a blu-ray player, buy a PS3.
It not much more expensive than a stand-alone player, and you get so much more.
A well fitting suit is great... I'm not sure what it is but I look forward to times when I get to were one.
Me? My family likes to give gifts, my grandma requires that I make a list for her.
I need some kitchen supplies like cook books. Cooking for a single person sucks, everything is packaged for two adults and the 2.5 kids.
I'm also continuing my goal of expanding my cultural literacy... I've got a bunch of books on the list.
My old 30gb hard disk Creative ZEN gave up the ghost recently, so I'm looking for a replacement. I'm finding that nothing on the market really gives me what I want. The iPod touch is very compelling, but the 32gb version is way too pricey. The 32gb Zen X-fi is nice, but doesn't do web browsing.
My contract update is due with AT&T so perhaps a 16gb iPhone would work, I'd have less to carry around, my parents could/would give that as my sole xmas/birthday gift. It's too much of a compromise though. If only it had and SD card slot and didn't use itunes.

A new transmission for my Bronco is top on my list.....but my computer just took a crap so i may have to compensate...
And a calendar, it seems fitting being that its the end of the year. ;)

A full nights sleep is all I ever want nowadays. Between shopping, my side job as a computer repair guy, my full time job at ADT, keeping my girlfriend happy, and, of course, the baby, I never seem to have time for sleep anymore. Or, when I do have time for sleep, something (often my daughter) is demanding my attention.
So basically, on Christmas, my girlfriend and I slept, and so did the baby for the most part. We slept all day and it was awesome.
Oh and I got almost $300 in cash and gift cards from my girlfriend's family. Apparently being a new dad has its perks. I haven't even been to visit my side of the family yet this year. It'll be nice to draw even (or maybe even a bit ahead) in Xmas expenses this year.
