This might sound like a noob question bu,I know that the combat engeneering cert can let you build turrets, but will their be empire specific turrets? I read something about it somewhere. If you can't it would be a gould expansion. Like grenade launchers for TR, machine gun for NC etc.

No, there are emprie specific turrets on vehicels but all engineers drop the spitfire turret.

NO empire specifics yet, only common pool spitfire turrets.

sounds like a good idea i suppose. nc would of course own it tho hehe. put it in a corner next to a hallway and when someone runs in BLAM guts on the wall

well of course theres no blood so darn :(

Are there any pics of the deployable turrets? and are they actually effective? The ones in Tribes were too small and weak

They are very effective, no pics yet. The ones in T2 were very effective if you placed them correctly around the flag.

If they did have them I think the NC would have MGs and the TR would have the all-powerfull grenade launchers.

NC would ahve pwerful rockets. TR would have high ROF grenade launchers. VS would ahve an energy weapon.

NC should have something to the equivilant of the shotgun with its trigger tied to the doorknob trick.

Booby traps for doors would be a cool engineering addition. Or just putting a spitfire above a doorway.

You could just put boomers and/or mines near a doorway. Bam! Booby trapped door.
