I just got into this game and it is pretty damn addictive. I'm playing as Sobekeus.

You basically control a star empire based off of a multitude of worlds and you can engage in diplomacy, trade, tech advancement, and even territory wars.

It is a slow paced game though, so if you lose patience fast, it won't be that much fun for you.

I haven't been playing long, but I own all of the worlds in my system (might change if someone else shows up before I open the wormhole).

These type of games never really interested me. I've tried to play them but they are too involved and I don't have enough time.

Yeah it is pretty involved, but you can do alright as a casual player as well. Your main colony gets an offline shield when you arent online. So you cant be totally eliminated if you happen to get unlucky.

Do you have to pay monthly for this game?

Only if you decide to go live, there is a single system you can play in indefinitely that has a few limitations for free.

Playing for a year tho can cost as little as 100$

Besides being busy with my new job, I don't make too much money so paying would be out of the questions, and I also literally have 500mb of space left on my harddrive.

My computer is obselete. I bought it back on '01 and even back then it wasn't anything special. Once I put $10,000 in commissions in my bank, I'm going to build myself a nice computer so I can play A game.

I recently changed my name to Apophis, it was just too good to pass up. SG-1 ftw.
