Topic is pretty self explanitory. With Fast and Furious, Wolverine, and Star Trek already taking the hit into summer, here's the thread to rant and rave about them and the many more upcoming movies like: Angels and Deamons, Terminator, Up, and more!
Anyways heres my 3 cents on F&F, Xmen, and Star Trek.
F&F: Vin Diesel. Dodge Charger. It's an American icon. :p
Wolverine: My 2nd favorite comic character, decent orgin movie for about 3/4's of the way through. But I could have seen the bootleg instead of the theatrical version and gotten the same idea....or in other words the CGI was terrible.
Star Trek: I never really followed the series itself because of my lack of television at home, but I enjoyed the movie more so than I thought I would. And from what I've been told its widely accepted across the Trekkies. Best line: "Victor Victor."

My father and Uncle are huge Star Trek fans. They've been watching it since it came out. I'll be seeing it this Saturday with them.
Vin Diesil has another movie going into production soon, based off of the wheelman game.
I don't get to the movie's anymore. It is rare.
Although these are what I am interested in seeing this Summer.
-Battle for Terra (Heard it was enjoyable)
-X-men (probably won't see it until dvd)
-Star Trek (This weekend)
-Angels & Demons (Might see it with my father)
-Terminator (probably won't see until dvd)
-Night at the Museum (I thought the first one was pretty good)
-Up (because Pixar knows how to do)
-The Hangover (Mike Tyson)
-Year One (seems like a good combination of slap stick and dry humor)
-Transformers (Explosions)
-Public Enemies (It has good actors in it, but I need more info on the movie)
-Bruno (Nuff Said)
-Harry Potter (I'll most likely wait until dvd)
-Funny People
-G.I. Joe (One of my favorite cartoons when I was young)
-Inglorious Basterds
-And last but not least, The boat that Rocked.
And of all these movies, I will probably get around to seeing 3-4 of them. Although I really want to see The Boat that Rocked

Huh the Boat that Rocked totally passed my movie radar. Looks like a win.
I saw Angels and Deamons, good stuff. I didn't really didn't like the first movie, so this for me was an improvement. And then Terminator was last week, I could've sworn i heard batman a few times lol. But yeah, definately a pretty movie.
Up this thursday for me, then I gotta cut back on the movie spending....or start cutting some deals with my theater employee friends.

When I was in high school, I used to work at one of the local theaters and they gave us 4 free tickets a week. We just couldn't see new movies. We had to wait 2-3 weeks, so it really wasn't a bad deal.

So far ive only seen: Star Trek, Angels and Demons, and Terminator.
Star Trek : My favorite movie of the summer so far, Im glad that the risks JJ Abrams made paid off. Great modern adaptation of the franchise, and Simon Pegg was great.
Angels and Demons: Big fan of the book, thought it was a great movie but I think that Ron Howard made too many changes from the original novel.
Terminator: A solid action flick, wasn't the best movie but it did not disappoint

I just came back from seeing Terminator. It was good. A little cheesy at the end, and seeing Arnold was funny.

I hated Wolverine. I hated it.

Would you like to explain why you hated it? I'll be waiting until it comes out on DVD, anyway.

The Deadpool fiasco for one. I'm a big fan of deadpool and what they did with him was hideous. Where the fuck was Stan lee when they wrote that part?
Otherwise, Sabertooth and Wolverine, brothers? PSHA!
The list would go on and on... the film was enjoyable for the action but the multiple errors along with the butchering of the cannon history made it an awful mess.
I did see Star Trek though! A+ movie! Loved it all the way.

Star Trek was a lot of fun. J.J. Abrams did a great job sticking to character traits. I think what made it great was that people expected certain events to happen, because it's obviously a prequel to the original show. the introduction of it becoming a different "dimension" of sorts, allowed for more of the movie to be new and on edge, because you really couldn't know what should be happening next.
Plus the special effects were spot on.

A lot of people are saying that year one is really bad. I've always enjoyed Jack Black, though. I guess I'll just wait for it to be on tv.

Now if you're talking about foreign women, that I am all there. I've never had a serious relationship with someone from the U.S.
All my relationships have been with European women. As much as I love my country, I don't find the women as appealing (not to say I wouldn't have a relationship with someone here). Besides, I live in New York City. Plenty of foreigners here.
On a side not, related to this topic.... Transformers came out today. I read a couple reviews and not too many critics liked it, but most critics tend to only care about Oscar possibles. I'm excited to see it soon. I was actually thinking about just taking the afternoon off tomorrow, and go see it with my cousin. Probably not, though.

I've heard from folks that its awesome. I hope you aren't listening to critic reviews because those tards don't care about pure mindless entertainment value (And Megan Fox)

Mind numbing action is what Transformers was, which is was i expected out of Michael Bay so it met my expectations. Its just a fun movie.
There were some major plot holes though, for instance they go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, bang through the back door, and somehow end up in a airplane graveyard in Tuscon Arizona. But common, its Michael Bay. He made fire in outer space. Give the guy a break.
Anyways....I saw it again at imax, I think the movie did its justice. Sweet cars and Megan Fox floats my boat any day of the week. ;)

I saw it last night. I liked it. The movie was a lot of fun. Yeah, there were a couple things that were a little cheesy and stupid but overall I enjoyed the movie. And Megan Fox is hot.

I saw it and it's fantastic. It's proof that someone can still do something different and it can be damn good!
Let's face it, most movies coming out end up being cut and paste pieces of shit who have been dumbed down to appeal to the mass, it saddens me too, because most new movies atleast have SOME potential...
The movie manages to be both smart, entertaining and exciting as well! Something I can rarely say about most movies. Go see the movie, it's worth it.
