So I decided to do the 14 day trial. They don't really limit you on too much. The game is incredibly in-depth. The universe is huge. I'm not sure if I would pay for this past the 14 day trial, but it's a very neat game.

EVE is the most unique MMO ever created, more than anything it's an economic MMO I find.
I've given EVE about 4 chances now but I always seem to get burnt out after a week and not know what to do next. The consequences for losing your ship suck because when it's blown up its gone and you need to buy and outfit a new one.
For me the time investment is to great - it's just so hard to have fun.. haha.

It seems a very demanding game. I don't really have the hours to put into it, and that's why I don't want to pay for it. Why pay to perform business transactions, in a game, when I get paid to perform business transactions in reality?

 Yea
It seems more like a job to me than anything. I hear that PVP can be a blast but I just can't get past the fact of how long it takes you to recover once that happens. Everyone says fly what you can afford to lose, which I did.. but still I felt like it took far to long to get reoutfitted and get back on the battlefield.
Most of my PVP consisted of my near instant death even though I was in a fleet.
Me? I just want to fly in space and blow shit up, hopefully Jumpgate Evo or STO give me that

I've always indulged in the economy of MMO's. Granted I haven't really played that many. But, I have a full time job, I keep in shape (given the status of my knee). Once my knee is back to full strength, I won't have to turn down commercial stunt jobs, anymore. And getting paid to do flips, and jump off 1 story buildings is so much more fun that making fake money in a game.
I'll play out the 14 days, and at the end just give all my shit to someone. It'll make them happy and my stuff won't go to waste.

I played the trial. I loved the idea of being a pirate or some high up dude in some heavy corporation, or playing huge space battles that would have star wars running for its money.
Again, the idea is what I loved. The work? Nah, not so much.
Suppose though if you played that game enough and froze yourself for a couple thousand years you'd fit right at home when you get out....

The idea of Eve is better than what Eve actually ended up being.

Never heard it put that way before that actually describes it pretty well.

I think a game like Eve on paper would be so awesome as long as the game play itself wasn't utterly boring.
