So here we are again. This latest news has all of us psyched about what could come again and everyone here remembers how kickass this community used to be.

My question to everyone is what would you like to see here @ PSU?

Old things you would like to see back again? (IRC Server, Political Debate Forum.. :lol: ) or something new that we have never done before?

Fire up your suggestions, anything goes.. well almost anything.

its alot of work I know. maybe wait for a bit to get some real info about the next game then design it around that. Just a suggestion

Facelift is something I want to do for sure, and have started. A lot of the code is long in the tooth too, a lot of fat needs to be trimmed. PSU needs a lot more analogies.

I will consider IRC, see what we have available to make that happen. It would be important to have more than 5 people on there most of the time to keep it running though :) If I could count on active community members to promote the chat server here and on the Official Forums and maybe other gaming locations. :)

Funny you should mention that as we were just talking about it.

I would not mind bringing it back however the problem was that I was getting constant e-mails from the porn site (or whatever) providers that hosted the images telling me to remove them immediately.

At this point IRC's return is pretty likely, I was able to successfully bring on the old server last night and test it.. its just a matter of getting it situated on a server. It is important though if we run it that we get a fair amount of visitors and idlers. I'd like to see 10+ folks logged in most of the time to make it worth keeping up.. :)

well i liked the BFR's and the weaponry was pretty creative. the sniper is perfectly balanced. but it would be nice to have maybe some more equipment. but not much to say i cant think of anything else.
oh and this may be a little off subject but there should be a vote to have this like be a huge patch so u dont have to buy a new version but i could see many problems with that and anyways its just an idiea.

This thread is for ideas for Planetside-Universe, the fansite :). However, just to touch base for a second (sorry for going off subject fellas). If it were in the form of a huge patch making it so nobody would have to purchase it again, that would mean they'd have to keep the old engine, and I think we are all tired of Planetsides current engine :D ...but you are right, there would be many problems with that idea, not that it wasn't an interesting idea though.

Anyway, back on subject.

I've hinted at Hamma a couple times about this, but I'll put it in writing to make it official. I'd really like to see PSU do another "Planetside Idealab". I think it would be pretty exciting for players to see their ideas come to life, and to inspire the PS:N development team, even if they don't take the ideas.

The shoutcast idea sounds like a really good time too. I wouldn't mind that at all, and would love to hear some live interviews of outstanding players in the community, and developers alike.

We never did the IdeaLab (http://www.planetside-idealab.com), we only hosted it for a while, the site is all Hayoo's doing. Unless you are suggesting we start our own?

Been forever since I've been on PSU b/c of work. Don't play PS anymore but when "PS2" comes back, I'll spend a lot more time here. As for the facelift idea, I'm neutral. Why fix something that isn't broken, just for the sake of having "new." The site looks great as-is.
