I laughed when I saw that, on another note: I can't wait until it comes out.

The game looked exciting, and then I saw the actual gameplay footage, and it just wasn't that exhilirating for me. I guess if someone gave it to me, I wouldn't make a fuss about it, but I won't be spending money it.

Bioware are gods none-the-less. I can't wait to get it!

they even wrote a couple of books, to head up the history to this game. Bioware does put out great games. Neverwinter Nights being one of my favorites.

Mass effect 2 is coming out for them too... and The old republic (I have a major nerd-boner for that game).
I can't wait *giggles*

I am so psyched about Mass Effect 2. I'm replaying the first one, right now. It'll take me a long time just because I have no time to play anymore. Is the old republic an MMO?

Is the old republic an MMO?
Yes. Its official name is "Star Wars: The Old Republic", and it is an MMO-RPG. I'm not sure if it will have 1st person point-of-view. From the... uh... gameplay video (...yeah...) it seems to mesh third-person point of view shooters with RPG "hotbar" button-mashing.
Bioware is not known for making crappy games. They are highly respected in both EA and in the game developer community as a whole. Dragon Age appears to be a great game - they have to keep the softcore down to a minimum, as they did with Mass Effect. In reality, the nude scene in ME wasn't even that bad, and people freaked the fuck out about it (stupid Southern Baptist and Pentecostal Holier-than-thou cocksucking zealots).
I'm eagerly anticipating closed beta for SW:TOR. I'll let you know what's what when I get in. I've got Dragon Age Collector's Edition on pre-order, so I'll let you know what I think. I'm not by any means a fan of MMO-RPGs and you can be assured that you'll get my most cutting and scathing opinion if it's shit.

There was "nude" scene in ME? Are you just talking about that place in the citadel?

No, there's a "love scene" where your character, male or female, has to pick from several potential love interests, toward the end.

No, there's a "love scene" where your character, male or female, has to pick from several potential love interests, toward the end.
The reason it became so "controversial" was because you could make a female character and pick another female character (technically she's asexual but she looks female) as your love interest. The result was a fairly tame lesbian love scene.
Of course, the churches all freaked out; IMO they should be worrying more about their priests molesting little boys.

Yeah I also have Dragon age Collector's ed on pre-order, can't wait.
As far as The old republic goes, yeah it's an MMO... but it's story driven. You're not just doing random crap that isn't changing the world around you. Read up on it you'll see.

Another tidbit is it is going to be the first MMO to be fully voice acted.

I've played through ME once before and I don't remember that "love scene" at all. I guess I'll see if it happens this time around.
I'm assuming Lucas Arts have moved on from Star Wars Galaxies? I remember playing that once. I would just sit and survey, and go play another game. Then 30 minutes later, do it again.

Yeah SWG is pretty much dead.
They learned they're lesson... no more sandbox game!

I thought the lesson about SWG was no more reinventing a game to be more homogenous with other MMORPGs when it was very popular as a sand box game.
