This looks like it is going to kick ass.

So I had a chance to go see this movie last night in IMAX 3D and let me say I was floored.

The storyline while it may not be "Original" enough (wah) for some I found very entertaining. The visuals were totally stunning.

I left the theater wanting to go back in line immediately and see it again and I have never felt like doing that before. If you have a chance go see it in 3d!

I'm still just do disinterested in this movie. Some of my family saw it over the weekend and they loved it. I just can't get into it. The whole 3D hurts my eyes.

I fucking loved it.

The 3D wasn't really overdone I found. It was enough to immerse you but they didn't shove stuff in your face like most 3D movies. They make it a point to just jam shit out of the screen haha

Are they showing it as a normal movie, as well? I just don't want to deal with 3D. Or is it only in 3D? Because if that's the case then I will be waiting until it's on TV in 4 years.

I believe you can see it in a normal theater as well :D

I was told the budget on this movie was pretty insane. I was told $770 million but I can't find anywhere that will tell me the budget so I'm not sure. I mean, bid budget movies typically run $150million to $200million so this number just seems too big.

Giovanni

310 million. According to wikipedia....

In the opening week they did like 330 million.... that's fucking insane.

So I saw the movie last week. The girl I went out with said It's Complicated, or Avatar. I really don't feel like seeing It's Complicated. I wasn't interested in Avatar to begin with, and after seeing it, I now know why I wasn't interested in it. It just seemed very long and drawn out. Don't get me wrong, I thought the visuals were unbelievable. The Sci-fi part of it was neat, where they could connect with the rest of the animals. The story itself was just blah. The tickets also cost $16.50 a piece. Fucking shitty upper east theater with ass expensive tickets.

Fail.

Its just one of those movies you have to let yourself go. I could care less about plot lines as long as its entertaining and all, I mean there arent many "Original" plot lines left.

Going to see it for the 3rd and final time this weekend in IMAX 3d ;)

I don't look for an original plot. To me, the story just wasn't that amazing. Like I said, the visuals were stunning, but damnit I had to pay for two tickets and each of them were $16.50. FUCK!

In New York City, dinner and a movie cost 80 fucking dollars.

7.50 a pop yeah!

My buddy has an instaboner whenever you mention Avatar. I saw it two weekends ago, I agree my eyes glistened over, but the story was a tad bit too perfect.

"We kill you."
"But he's a warrior, and he wants to be like us."
"Mmm, ok. We <3 you."

Also I felt so much green this and green that. I could have sworn Cameron was trying to force a message or something...

Your buddy is what I like to call an Avatard. No offense to him... ok well maybe a little.

My friend just this to me and I had a small laugh at it:

I don't find it amusing really though.. I thought it was an awesome movie that kept me entertained every second I was watching it. Regardless of how "Original" the plot line was.

It's near impossible to put out an original movie plot wise considering the thousands upon thousands of movies that have been made. It's good vs evil..

Movies are an escape, if you cant suspend disbelief and enjoy it then why go to the movies.

My .15 cents. :p

Oh don't get all serious on me now. I was fucking around. I just thought it was funny because you were talking about how there aren't any original plots anymore. I figured I would post it up simply as a joke to that reference.

This movie just didn't do it for me, that's all. It's my birthday and I can make fun of it if I want to! (no, it's not actually my birthday)

It was a visually stunning love story. Too many films about love stories. I can't take it anymore. I want something different. I'm going strictly porno. That shit ain't about the love, just the love making.

Loved this movie.

Makes me want to buy a big ass TV and surround sound system, then build a sound proof room in my backyard to watch it in Blu-ray when it comes out.

I think I might do it.
