I just purchased an intuos4 by wacom, medium sized.... maybe it's just me but I can't seems to draw to save my life with that thing...
I'm pretty good with a pencil and a normal eraser.... but with the wacom... I just can't seem to do what I want to do with it.
Any of you have tips, sites or even videos that would help? I'm lost with this thing in all honesty.

If you have the same issues with tablets I do its because there is no friction to speak of. You could try drawing on a piece of paper on the tablet.

You just have to keep practicing with it. It's a new toy and sometimes it takes a while to get used to the way it reacts. Just give it time, and plenty of practice.

Alrighty, I own a wacom and use it quite a bit.
At first I was a little frightened by it, but I could draw great with it out of the box.
The one thing you really want to be sure of though, is in the control panel for the wacom.
If you have a Monitor Aspect Ratio that differs from the Wacom's aspect ratio, you're going to want to set the wacom to only use a portion of the tablet and crop the rest so that it matches your 14:9 aspect ratio so its in a natural state.
otherwise, if you have the tablet which is 4:3, and a Monitor that is 14:9, when you draw a circle on the wacom, it'll look elongated and stretched out and the whole feeling will just be unnatural.
You want both your visual surface and wacom tablet aspect ratios to be the same
Also, adjust your pressure sensitivities.
