Dude, all those puppets scared teh shit outta me when I was little... It's still sad that he died tho. I heard somewhere that he was a sniper for the American army in one of the wars. Not sure if this is true.

hehe you know why he always wore long sleeve shirts/sweaters. He was in vietnam and he had a tally make tattood to his arm for every kill.

So what if he was a 1337 sniper?

He kept probably a good 75% of this board's membership entertained when it was 4 years old. The neighborhood is not as fun a place anymore now that he's gone. He can keep the kids in heaven happy alongside Jim Henson, though at least Mr. Rogers had a good run of it. Farewell Fred, you'll be missed.

Indeed, it is a sad day. I remember watching Mr. Rogers when I was but a wee little lad... When you're 3 or 4, that show is awesome. :D

Or should I say was now? In today's environment, children are being barraged by the evils of advertising and in-your-face attitude more and more. And while I'd have to agree somewhat with others (especially now, since I'm older I guess) that it is a bit of a creepy show, it was nevertheless done in good taste.

Mr. Rogers, we'll miss you. :tear:

Whoa. That just seems sureal and I don't know why. I am not sure it has sunk in for me yet. That was Mr. Rogers. The one some of us grew up with, the one that In Living Color used to spoof. This hits the same way the as the death of Charles Shultz hit.

Man, what a bummer. Rest in peace Fred.
