okay, so I read there are different designations for MAX armor (anti-air/infantry/vehicular)
my question is: Are you able to change your load out at anytime? Can you mix and match designations (left arm flak cannon, right arm minigun)??

oh, and BTW....:ncsucks:

Also, only the TR MAX has guns on both arms, the others have only one gun arm.

Can they give 'em all three barrels simutaneously? Or are they all feeding on the same magazine?

lol, shut down
silly NC
j'k
so anyone definetly going for a MAX character? Methinks one of mine will be, definetly TR, and most likely the anti-air version
dual flak cannons coupled with spiking for increased rate of fire...oh my!
or maybe the anti-vehicular, for a one-man artillery division of death!
or maybe the anti-personnel, dual gatling, all killing, filling-the-air-with-lead SOB I always wanted to be....*sigh*
decisions decisions
PS: How do you add color to your sig? I want to mae the text red...thnx

Depending on the speed of the other armors, I may take a MAX. I'll most likely go for the AV MAX because That falcon just sounds realy sweet to use against a marauder or thresher.

I heard somewhere that each different MAX loadout will take a different cert...but not from a dev. Does anyone have concrete, confirmable evidence to support/refute this? I think that would suck, unless they weren't expensive certs.

Its not the NC max that has three barrels, its the hvy assualt weapon (Jackhammer) that does. The NC max AI gun is a shotgun that shoots multiple shells at a time. Short range for big bang(lotsa shells), medium range for medium bang(medium shells), and long range for small but semi accurate band(few shells). Jackhammer has three alternating fire barrels and a second function that empties all three barrels at once for a really powerful shot that takes awhile to reload.

Different MAX loads are separate certs

I'm starting to get a clearer picture of the game now I think...if all the MAX armors are different certs, then thats 3x the amount of points, thus more specialization per character? I guess that's cool, but probably a big money pit for cert points.

The tags you want to color the text is:
{color=red}Insert text here{/color}
Now substitute the {'s with just the ['s. that should be it. I could be wrong it may be different in this forum, (they/this site may have scripts in place to do it for ya) but it's how you would do it in our clan's forum. Hope this helps ya Vicent.

I don't intend to be a MAX often, but I certainly will have ateast 1 MAX cert incase things get heavy...probabaly either anti-infantry or ani-aircraft, though ant-vehicular is a possibility too...

thans for the sig help
okay, so the MAX designations require different certs. Would you say it's easy (and recommended) that you have more than one cert for MAX armor? Where would you change out? Is a master of one more viable than a jack of all trades?

You can only change out at a location where you can change armor, so it is very unlikely you will change mid-battle much. Being in a MAX makes you very specialized, but you should probably get all three suits so you can take the one you will need.

The which certs to get question will probably best be answered by a few things.
1) What do you want to do with your character? If your main focus isn't being a MAX, it's a lot of cert points to spend to get all the MAX certs.
2) What's in demand? It you are only getting one cert, is there commonly a need for one type of MAX? Is there a type that gets bypassed a lot, so perhaps more folks are needed who can do that? This will only come out in play.
3) What's the tech tree like to get to MAX certs? If there's not a lot of prerequisites, getting multiple MAX certs is just a preference of what you want to do with your points. However, if there are a number of prerequisites, and/or if they are expensive, you will be better off - well, more efficient - getting multiple MAX certs, having already paid your way to those certs.

i thought that i read somewhere that no cert will have more than 2 prerequsites. correct me if im wrong.
i dont know how realistic this is in comparison to the game, but it is helpful in figuring out what you can do level by level as far as cert's go. it only goes up to lvl 20.
