For recent resubbers: first kill story

Hey all,

just resubbed for the second time last week. My first kill back I am happy to say was a bumper kill :)

What was your first kill on your resub, or (if you were a holdout stud) what's your fav kill to get.

Has been, and always will be, my chainblade on secondary (noise) mode with melee boost. Actually tied with long-range Repeater sniping.

I think my first kill was with my trusty Lancer on an anchored TR MAX - its just too easy.

I was a little rusty though when I first resubbed (hadn't played since 2008). Small fight, I sneak into an exterior stairway along the wall. A TR comes running in and right into my crosshairs, I catch him off-guard and open up my gauss. I'm thinking this is an easy kill. Well, I am so bad, and have so many cobwebs, he recovers from his heart attack, pulls out the MCG, and kills me before my gauss can finish him off.

The first kill had to wait until the next spawn.

True, but it is really good at long range as well. So perhaps it should be CNA? (Chuck Norris Assault) Is that in DviddLeff's PUP?

I think my first kill was a actual triple. Jumped in to my AA Max and hit instant action and ended up at some base we defended on Ishundar managed to take down a Liberator which gave me 2,5k BEP. Was a nice start. :)

I got my first real knife kill last night while not a cloaker.

Enemy hot drops on the tower me and my outfit are defending (just the three of us) and he takes out our sentry upstairs who takes him down to just a fraction of health left, me and my buddy rush him and he runs off, leaving a JH on the floor!

Realising he just dropped his best form of defence I whip my knife out and stab him in the face.

Just resubbed last night, I quit shortly after Core Combat. I dropped in to a fight on Forseral as VS, we were sieging a tower at Anu. It was really an accident since I was just in the armor I was in last time I played and all I had was a Pulsar, but right as I ran up to the tower a TR ran out of the door I was approaching and I just started shooting.

After that I switched to UniMAX cert and got some much-needed practice in. I'm hooked again.

I love these stories. I have gotten a few fun kills since I came back, still waiting on my lancer kill, I haven't used it much since I resubbed.

I also recently fat-fingered and pulled my REK out once to fight. I got shot in the face.

I've done that since I've been back too. Total facepalm moment. "Not the REK, the Gauss....NO not the Phoenix, I said the Gauss...too late. Stupid fingers."

I had another funny little story that was similar to that. For some reason, I was in a tower by myself a little ways from a battle. As I'm running past the ground level door, I hear the sound of a REK hacking the door. So, I get a big grin, jump outside, and drop the poor TR as he's hacking the door. Yay me.

So, I continue running upstairs and at the top floor, I hear the same REK sound. I'm full of confidence at this point, so I'm thinking, lucky me another easy kill. Well I jump outside, except this time there's not just 1 TR, there's 3 with MCGs. That time, I was the easy kill.

Rule of Planetside #287: Never get over confident.

I'm still amazed at the number of people who still don't know to throw jammers through doors they KNOW (or should know) are boomered.

The other night, I honestly parked my ams outside a tower and watched the same guy get boomered like 5 times running through the door. I didn't even need to try and battle to have fun, I just enjoyed watching this guy run through the same boomered door over and over.

Also, I got a 4-for-1 boomer kill last week by hiding in the tower tubes after the cherries took it. I hit two guys at the top of the stairs and then four more three quarters of the way down... I almost lashed another guy too as the rest came flooding in haha.

Well, when I first got back it seemed I had been a stealth/hacker when I left years ago. I equipped myself, grabbed a phantasm and headed out for some action. I found a fringe fight going on over a tower and landed my transport. Upon scouting around a bit I found a sniper behind a tree taking potshots at our guys running around the tower. I quickly realized I didn't have a weapon... just a hacking tool, a knife, some disruptor grenades and a couple of plasma grenades.

I snuck up behind the sniper, stabbed him one or twice, hit him with a disruptor grenade to shut down his darklight vision then kept popping him with plasmas till he dies.

Fun times.

What about planetside makes even we, who can't kill a afk stealther, enjoy playing it so much?

Well, I've killed people, but my first since I came back?

I believe I came back as a Stealther with CE, so I HART dropped onto a contested tower and planted a boomer next to the door. I actually wasn't paying attention when a MAX came out, but he was being hit buy a fellow TR with a Stryker and as he tried to flee back inside, I hit the boomer. Sometimes ADD pays. ;)

Right there with you bro. I played all night last night and only managed to give the other team free kills. Of course, my highest character is only BR13, and I think I jacked my certs up when I recerted. I need to find a build that's effective now.

Went engy/stealth cause it used to be uber back in the day when the only people with darklight were maxes and snipers. I think I'm going to have to go back to sniper engy driver now, considering what I've read on the forums.

Also, I saw a video of TR pulling Magriders out of the vehicle terminal yesterday. WTF is that?

Thx m8. Also, got my first kill. Forgot how much I love sniping. Still have yet to get a kill with the phoenix though. Really, AV should be much more powerful.

I'm holding out, but I'm leaning towards re-subbing... But My fav kill has always been sniping friendly cloakers. Followed by the usual hate tells of "WTF dude!" I'd simply say I couldn't see them because they were invisible... COMPLETE LIE haha

I resubbed about a week ago and I've fallen in love (again).

I remember my first most satisfying kill on my first day back: my Comet MAX, taking out a ScatMAX...By no means a difficult feat, given that the Comet is designed for that sort of thing, but killing Scatter MAXes is always so damned satisfying =)
