PSN Game Demo Idea

I just recently came across a link to a game called Interstellar Marines.

Basically it is a game being produced by a small independent developer. They are taking a similar approach to what Minecraft did by inviting the gaming community to pre-purchase the game to help support it's development. You can already play pieces of the game for free on their website right in your browser. (see information at the bottom)

Anyways... I thought it would be cool if SOE would release something similar to this to help promote Planetside Next.

Maybe just like the training room in the sanctuary playable right in your web browser. Where you can test the new weapons and vehicles out.

I could see this being a good marketing tool for the game.

I thought exactly the same thing when I viewed this video last month.


There is some really excellent things in that game. The voice communication is really interesting unique only to Interstellar Marines right now.

An interesting idea for sure - I don't know if you would see a larger game developer do it though. :(
