hi i have not played planet side for about 2 years now and with out spending money to log in i want to find out is the game still going and how many played are active and are there any big battles going on now ???

With recent interest in PlanetSide Next things are pretty good! Best time to rejoin imo.

I was in a similar spot. My entertainment budget is essentially nil. So even forking out $15 to play a game for 1 month was a tough call. I'm extremely happy with the decision I made. The game is far better than when I left it several years ago. Every time I've logged on, there's been a great fight going. Plus, if you played for a long time before you quit like me, then the nostalgia will knock you over as well. If you are on the fence, my humble advice would be to pull the trigger.

Yeah, higher numbers in game these days than in the past 2-3 years.

Mainly because all the hackers are gone.
