Hey guys, just joined the forums. Glad to see so much interest in PS:N. I'll definitely be on board at release.

Just so you guys who have been out of the game as long as I have (4-5 years) can see whats going on in game now, I found this video. It was pretty saddening to see that this is what the game has become.

So few people playing.

From what I can tell from the rest of that guy's videos is that the biggest battle we see is 20v20. I know battles change from day to day and things like that, but it's so upsetting to think about those battles where you'd have 100 NC zerging a base on Cyssor.

That's odd. I logged in last night and found there were only 50 more slots open for a fight on Forseral. It was just like old times.

Er, VS had a poplock on the 27th with 35% global pop. Last week the TR had at least two poplocks.

Not sure where you're getting your info from.

Yeah, pop locks are almost a regular occurrence now, especially at weekends.

Since they got rid of trials (and therefore hackers) pop has gone up and up.

Yea that video isn't representative of pop at all, the fights and populations have been great overall :D

Seen it a few times recently, obviously it's possible things will change but unlikely.

Ok most of the stuff I do is Fast Response stuff, so there is usually no one around anyways.

Just wanted to add in here that this morning at 6am Pacific I was in a very well-populated battle on Ish between TR and NC. To be honest, things seem much more organized now than they were when I stopped playing. I haven't yet had a problem getting a squad and squads in general seem to operate together more. Perhaps I've been lucky in that regard.

I think not having uber-hackers lording it over the servers is a big contributor. "Wow, now that I can't just snipe people from Sanctuary, I guess I have to grudgingly use teamwork"

It seems very populated to me. That video must have just been a lame battle...There are huge battles going on almost all the time.

I praise "kill-stealers" because the 'steal' doesn't actually bother me. Never has bothered me. When I do say it's a 'well-done' argument, still praising my friendly's 'steal' from me.

Having not been on the game for a while, I see that the MagRider's driver weapon is probably my most favourably weapon I PlanetSide. It's fast, loud, precise with a nice ribbed barrel and output (lol gay). SOE may do well to expand on that weapon design and weapon effect unto most VS arsenal and maybe put some ribbed toys on TR too. ;)
