Okay so I work with a ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB Graphics card on my computer and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible too have duel monitors with this type and how. No it doesn't have 2 DVI slots i already checked. If it's not possible then would anyone have a graphics card they could recommend that has similar or better specs for a decent price that could( I have a 700 Watt power supply so I can work almost anything)? Thanks in advance,

EDIT: Would it be possible to simply put in another graphics card?

So the video card has one port only?

If that is the case, unless it supports some kind of splitter you will need a second video card or a new card with 2x slots.

New question I looked up the specs on my Card and found this out
Quote
:ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology1,4
Three independent display controllers
Drive three displays simultaneously with independent resolutions, refresh rates, color controls, and video overlays
Display grouping
Combine multiple displays to behave like a single large display

How the hell do i do that lol?

Not sure, some cards can take a special display splitter.

Anything better than mid-range has had multiple display outputs since like...2000.

Looking at pictures I googled, nearly single example has two DVI ports and an HDMI port....

So surely you've got at least 1 DVI and one HDMI (I'm betting 2x HDMI and a DVI)?
Just get an HDMI monitor or http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041902&p_id=2080&seq=1&format=2
DVI and HDMI are very nearly the same thing, the main difference is form factors and HDMI can carry sound too.

If it really only has one port the manufacturer surely sells a splitter.

(And if you really wanted help you'd post the specific manufacturer and model of the card. You do realize that different manufacturers assemble ATI cards and they don't have to make them identical.)

Damn, I want an eyefinity card and three monitors for super widescreen gaming.

My girlfriend has said she would leave me though if I got more than one monitor... worth it?

Heey, I have a crappy CRT next to my TFT too :)

I've got a good game for you, drag a picture from the TFT to the CRT and be amazed (or horrified)

I got a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 9i I've been thinking of hooking up to my current setup (22" Westinghouse LCD), but I have like zero room to put the Mitsubishi on.

Have you tried gaming with both screens yet? It should support the game on one and something else like txt on the other. You will not be able to game with both monitors if they are different most likely. Also if you try to hook up the third plan on sinking $100 on a display port to hdmi/dvi adapter. The ati cards do not support 3 hdmi displays. You get two conventional hdmi/dvi/hdmi and one display port no matter what. Yeh they jam that display port up your arse no matter what.

I suggest to anyone who wants to game on multiple monitors to go with the Nvidia option. They do force you to use two cards which doubles the amount of memory you have for those higher resolutions. It also lets you run multiple HDMI displays. Also, their driver support for older cards will not suddenly and magicly disable features of the card and then blame the flash software update. They said "yeh we know HD video is now unplayable but you will have to wait for flash to fix their software"... um wait a minute it works on all of my non ati cards so far that means you have to fix your drivers.

Playing with the game stretched across multiple screens is one of those things that sounds really cool in theory, and is really cool as a gimmick in practice; and then after about 15 minutes, becomes more bothersome than it's worth. Having a bevel blocking (or offsetting) your field of view gets tiring, quickly. And yes, I am speaking of personal experience. (http://forums.station.sony.com/ps/posts/list.m?start=3&topic_id=88000027486)

For anyone wondering I tried PlanetSide in 3d with much the same results; cool as a gimmick, not worth it in practice.

well I am running a 32 inch vizio for a monitor and my 40 in samsung and I dont have any problems at all with it, I don't have the game spread across both tvs tho,I run vent and some temp monitoring programs on the 32 and the game on the 40 inch.

I have a coffee table that has a counterbalanced top on it so I can raise the table up to desk height and play on my couch in the living room.

I haven't tried the 3d crap yet but I am running a gtx 570 with power boost so it will support 3d.

I should list my specs in the compare your machine thread or what ever its called but I am lazy,I did spend almost 4k to play PS2 tho LOL.

I also bought an HDMI powered 4x2 splitter so my x-box cable box and comp all run through the switch so I don'r have to run multiple HDMI cables,I also have a svga powered splitter so everything is wired up,I built this thing to watch movies and play games on so I ran the sound to my 8 channel amp through fiber optics

I bought the Vizio 32 in razor LED 120 hz tv (549.00 Sam's club)and the picture is fantastic, my next purchase will be the 240 hz 55 in and then the 40 goes in my bed room.

I am 50 years old and all my kids are all grown up popping out kids of their own so I can get away with this silly crap without being bitched at, I got rid of her too.:D

I had a chance to buy the $4k Sony TV at Fry's for 1400, but didn't have enough cash available. Damn things were practically walking themselves out the door.

Dude check the Vizio's out they are single handedly driving the price of big flat screens down and you can find quite a few nice models, you can look up the reviews on cnet and consumer reports, they get very high marks for the picture quality and you can buy a 55 in. 240hz led for 1600 bucks all day long
