Got your brackets filled out? Did you even acknowledge the new "1st round" or just start with the round of 64? Who are your Final Four? and of course, who do you have winning it all?
Good luck, and God bless Gus Johnson.
If you don't know Gus Johnson, he is the greatest sports announcer today, and March Madness is where he is at his best.
Here's a nice appetizer of his call from the Pac-10 championship. COOOOLD BLOODED!!

I pity those that don't get into March Madness. I mean the first 2 rounds alone are pure sports bliss. Gus Johnson was tremendous as always, and the bracket was true madness, I mean "this is Sparta" madness. VCU? Butler? Really?
Perhaps next year I'll run a PSU March Madness Bracket Challenge and get some of you to convert since we'll all be rocking out on PS:N by then....hopefully.

Fuck basketball. In fact, pretty much fuck almost all American sports - football, baseball, basketball... a bunch of overpaid crybabies who'll strike when they can't get a payraise. It's about as goddamn irresponsible as the other criminals in whatever latest enterprises are that failed because they were mismanaged and needed some government bail-out.

(I like irrational anger as much as the next guy but FFS this is about college basketball to begin with)
I'm content with the epic Kansas Jayhawk chokery. Woo VCU!

I'm sorry, but I hope you're not trying to say that soccer players arn't overpaid crybabies?
Plus like Rbstr said, this is college basketball. They don't make money (allegedly). It's all about heart and hard work and spirit and in the case of March Madness it's all about last second heroics and passion.
Really Firefly, just watch that clip I posted in the OP and tell me thats not good stuff.

Bold for emphasis. Don't read too much into it, you'll only hurt the ones you love.
I don't consider soccer to be an American sport. Yes it's a sport and yes we play it in America and yes, Americans use the term "soccer", but I do not consider it one of America's major sports. And, again, I said "pretty much" and "almost all" if the whole "American" thing doesn't work for you.

Ahh, see, I made the fatal flaw of thinking you were one of those fuzzy little foreigners when you ripped on "almost all American sports". I agree you you, I don't think soccer has reached "major" status yet here in America...yet. That Landon Donovan goal against Algeria in the World Cup was easily one of the greatest sports moments of my life, so its on its way up.
Even if you only kinda like sports, watching buzzer beaters and cinderella upsets in the NCAA tourney is pure joy because its about the sport. Only a handful of the players will make it to the NBA, so everyone else is doing it mainly for the love of the game. It's great action and great passion. What more do you want?

Well I pity those that pity me for having pity for people who don't enjoy March Madness. In fact, I believe those people who pity me for pitying them are fools.
Therefore, I pity the fool. ;)
