What do you want in a "collector's edition"

Getting ahead of myself, let's skip to release. What would you expect from, what do you want from and what do you wish was in the collector's edition.

So, I'll start:


3 versions, one for each faction, containing something faction related each. Like miniature / keychain weapons / MAX of that specific faction.
A physical map of the world at release
Artbook
Soundtrack
Mission statement for your faction
Little sfx computer that allows you to playback some of the most common voice commands (V-V-* for example)
Faction branded Authenticator


And probably a lot more. Let's see what you all can come up with! :)

You know, I love Collector's Editions for my A-List games (ie- games that I'm super excited about) and Planetside 2 is a defining moment in my gaming life. However, i have basically NEVER been interested in Out-Of-Game content. I don't have any interest in miniatures, maps, helmets, salves, creams, prophylactics, or plushies.

I want IN GAME content for my Collector's Edition purchase. Let's assume that this game will NOT be Free-to-Play (but honestly, I absolutely think that SOE should be smart about this and have it be Free-to-Play). So, the game presumably costs $59.99. I want the Collector's Edition to have automatically-unlocked customization options for Outfits and Squads. Some Collector's Editions sell power (like Dragon Age, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, etc), but they can do that because it's a single-player game (there isn't some "other player" who will be overwhelmed with superior power just because he didn't buy the more expensive version). So, as much as I wish I could buy a bunch of special weapons and items, I understand that it would be game-breaking.

So, what I really want in the Collector's Edition (apart from an already-purchased package of customization that can also be purchased piecemeal) is that I want my character to be "Elite" status. I shall explain:

Again, I think that Planetside 2 will be free to play, and that you can spend money to double your earned XP and double the speed of leveling skills. If this is the case, I will absolutely be buying the biggest package possible. But, let's say that the game is NOT Free-to-Play, but is instead a game you purchase. I would still want this feature. Let the game cost $85 instead of $59.99, or whatever, and have Collector's Edition players permanently gain double XP and enjoy double leveling speed.

As far collectors stuff you could just use the extra 10 dollars you'd pay to buy in game vanity stuff, and I'd imagine T-shirts will be for sale somewhere hopefully. I can't think of anything and the things already listed sound boring.

This isnt WOW, Global Agenda or LOL. Whatever of the F2P aspect of this game will probably be much like the PS: Reserves.

Want to raise Planetside awareness? Make it so we can totally go overkill at a hallowe'en party clomping around in a MAX suit or RExo.

Even just the helmets would make a FINE addition to my physical desktop.

As an alternative, functioning knives. Easiest would be the Vanu and NC. Hardest would be the chainblade.

Realistic replica ammunition boxes. Realistic replica ammunition. Paintball guns that are exact replicas of our fave weapons.

I really like the voice macro thing. If I had a keychain that said "I will defend our deployables!" or any of the seldom used macros, I would ware it out in a day.

I would like to see some in game bonuses, but cosmetic only of course. Maybe I can put tank treads on my deliverer, different colored jetfire on my Reaver, or pink fuzzy slippers

I used to love the ones who couldn't stand up. Even though they had two working legs when they came into this man's Green Army, for some reason they decided to become lazy once basic was done. So want to know what I did with them?

1. Comes in an MRE Tin with your faction's logo on it (think Band of Brothers collectors edition)
2. Miniature MAX unit you can put on your desk
3. An in-game designation

5. The EULA to state that I can record in-game action and edit the movie once I'm done. I don't want to have to explain to Sony lawyers why I've got the #1 YouTube sensation and that Steven Spielburg is flying me out to California to go over his next project: Planetside: Auraxis Twilight.

I told my wife if they release a collectors edition I'm buying 2 of them. One to have all the goodies from and one to just look at fully boxed and sealed.

I'd like to see a mixture of in game and out of game content though. Maybe a uniform skin or special piece of head gear for in game, maybe a little figurine or something out of game. I loved the Fable III playing cards and coin, really nice looking.

Things that are appealing to me...

1) Soundtrack, definitely, be nice to include the original PS soundtrack also.
2) Maps of the world & individual continents.
3) Short illustrated book telling the Planetside story leading up to the game.
4) Book of concept art (autographs of the artists would be good too)
5) Miniature of a MAX or Galaxy or something iconic with Planetside.

Having faction-specific collector's editions seems neat but I think it might run into supply issues. A general collector's edition seems better to me.

1 through 3 are the p1's for me. The other stuff is cool but p2.


Edit: in terms of bonuses I don't know yet, have to see how the game works to see what would be reasonable but not OP. Probably a different model skin, or an accessory like sunglasses, communication's headset or something like that for collector's edition purchasers. Maybe some accelerated skill-training or xp gain wouldn't hurt either.
