Hey, not sure if there have been some changes made to the forums/site in the last week or so, but for the last few days (possibly week) I haven't been able to open the forums in Firefox. It just hangs, with something along the lines of "transfering from google-analytics" in the status bar.
I'm having to use IE to read the forums and post this, which isn't a very desirable thing to do.
Also, I should say that it is probably on my end, as I asked my cousin if he could open the forums in Firefox, which he can with no issue.
So yeah, I was just wondering if there have been any backend changes to the site that may have caused my browser to stop working, as I have made no changes on my end (that I know of).
Cheers.

hmm I know of several folks using Firefox to browse the site and I haven't seen any issues other than a few graphical problems. Have you tried clearing the cache and all that good stuff? Almost sounds like something is hung up locally.

am using firefox right now ;) always have. there is some nasty addons that end up screwing up firefox best thing to do is uninstall all the addons then uninstall firefox and reinstall.

I have tried running firefox with all addons disabled. I have also reinstalled it to see if that helps. Nothing does.
I have however, been browser the internet looking for similar problems and there are indeed people out there who have the same issue with different sites. I read that in order to get it to load, I just have to keep mashing refresh and it will eventually load (which it does).
I usually only have to press refresh once or twice though, and it will indeed load the page fine. This isn't a very nice solution though, as every time I want to open a thread or go on to the next page (or anything really), I have to click it, wait for it to hang, and then hit refresh. Pretty annoying really.

That is very odd. I doubt it's something on the site causing it though

Caching issues drove me away from using Firefox. You don't have to use IE though :)

Update:
As of last night, it no longer hangs. Everything works fine, yet I have changed nothing on my end.
Very odd.

I'm having issues with Chrome and this forum only (I browse many forums). I usually go through and open 15-20 tabs np but over the last couple weeks even 2-3 tabs hang up the website. All other non-thisforum tabs still function perfectly fine. From what I can tell this forum eats a particularly large amount of RAM. Any one having similar issue with Chrome?

No issues for me with Chrome, it's my primary browser.

Alright, I'll start playing the which extension is screwing things up game then.

I hope it's an extension. I'm not sure I can help without being able to reproduce it otherwise.
