Who's the leader?

When 3 squads come together to form a platoon, how do choose who leads the platoon?

I'm pretty sure, it'll be the cmmdr of the squad that invites the other squads to join.

Cmmdr of squad A invites squads B and C, and B and C fall under cmmdr A.

Ok. Well, that leads to my next question. If I was leading a squad, and someone invited me to form a platoon, would I be giving up my chance to get CEPs, or will I still get some if we succeed, but less perhaps?

I belive that it is shared so no you dont give up your CEPS. That would defeat the purpose of bonding together.
