Will a Vanu MAX be able to jumpjet ontop of mountains?

depends on how high the mountain is. I don't think they get that much of a boost, but it is enough to scale walls and get around things.

I believe that it will be used mianly for small jumps, but info states that it will be able to leap onto terrain features, this could mean plats, trees, mountains etc...

The jump jet can get you to some hard to get to places like cliffs, but has like a 3-4 sec recharge time, which is pretty high in the heat of combat.

Well its really gonna be helpful for the vanu, but no air battles would be like jet packs, not jump jets. Sorry but the purple/green guys wont be soaring through the sky. SRY! but that would defeat the purpose of some planes cuz if vanu did that all planes would easily get toasted, plus the fact that there is no manuverability while using the jets, so you wouldn't be able to move around while ur in the air.

I don't think jet packs would be a very good idea. I don't want this game to turn into Tribes 2. A super jump that has to recharge is a different story

I don't see why the VS MAX couldn't turn it mid-air, as in pivot. The only thing that is stated is that mid-air coarse corrections are NOT posible. Meaning once airborn. You CANNOT alter coarse. Any coarse adjustments will need to be made before activating the jump jet.

If say you were running along and wanted to JJ, but off at at angle but because of terrain features your bouncing around. If you miss your coarse correction you may be screwed.

Assuming there is a minimal jump for everyone if you jumped, turned and hit the JJ. I believe that you will still travel the direction you were jumping. Not the direction you turned.

I'm pretty sure the angle you take off at depends on how fast you're moving (saw it somewhere). If you stand still, it's just straight up (pretty high), and if you're in run mode and catching up to a tank, you could probably keep up with a Reaver for about two seconds (you would go almost straight). I can't wait to master jump jets.
