Vehicles Exploding

I was wondering about the vehicles and how they are destroyed. It is now certain or close to certain that when they explode infantry nearby is injured or killed. What happens to the people inside? Do they die or get ejected? If your in a plane and you explode and the ejection occurs do you die from the fall? What the hell happens to your ass when your vehicle explodes. Thats my question! :sniper: Tank + explosion => :doh:

1. It is most likely that the explosion will cause damage to anything in a certain radius.

2. I'm not certain on this, I don't believe there is any official word yet, but you can assume that either they are damaged and placed next to the vehicle, or that they die immediatly (sp?)

3. When you eject from aircraft, if you are high enough, the kenetic dampeners will kick in and you take little-no damage.

Vechs exploding do cuase damage to those around them. This was stated by greg in the dev chat. The people inside die, unless they bailed at the last second. Not stated, but read between the lines. "If you crash a full galaxy into another full galaxy, the pilots come out with something like 30,000 grief points". Greif points are from killing friendlies, so everyone dies when the vech explodes. Kenetic dampeners have been discussed to death already soi i wont go into them.

imagine a whole bunch of ppl and vechicles bailing out of a galaxy really high up, hte ppl would look and say hey, its raining terran, yay lets watch em splat, wheeeaaa plut(x30)

Actually vehicles leave a burnt out shell after they are destroyed

What he said except they DO die if the vehicle is destroyed and are inside it.

Well, each vehicle when it is destroyed has a good size explosion. If you�re within the range of that explosion, you could end up taking quite a bit of damage. For instance, if you�re silly enough to stand next to a drop ship when it explodes, well, you�ll probably know that [said in a dry tone of voice]. On the other hand, if it�s a little Basilisk cycle, you�d probably have to be right on top of it to take any sort of damage.

As far as the individual debris pieces that come off of it? Do they hit and damage you? No, they don�t.

from what ive herd after the vehicle gets destryored the burnt shell stays there for about 2 minutes till it decomposes...how it decomposes beats the heck outta me

Well it is either have them decompose or stay there forever, you figure it out. :D

If a galaxy or some other aircraft is destroyed in midair, does the burnt up frame fall? If it does, would it kill if it landed on someone?

If you destroy a vehicle i take it you get BEP for all the people inside?

and what about anyone standing close by?
