So last Thursday, I was prepping to take my kids up to Abilene to see their Grandparents on Saturday then head over to Denton on Sunday to drop them off with their mother to head back to Ks to spend the school year.

But something happened on the way. I was headed out to my local HEB plus to get some last minute groceries when I saw this little guy running in circles under a stop sign:

After a few hours he was more relaxed:

And so early Saturday, me, the wife, the kids, this puppy whom we called "Ba-Roo" cause he's pretty much a pure Beagle AND DAMN as his howling loud and our two little Pomeranian's piled into our little Ford Focus and made the trek north.

Wait, Vic, why would you take that Ba-Roo to Abilene?

Well, see my step-mother helps to run the no kill shelter up there and well it seemed a better option then dropping him off at the San Antonio ASPCA shelter. The one here is a 2-weeks and dead place. I can't take an animal there. My soul is far to tender for that.

They are anticipating he'll get adopted fairly quickly.

Awhh! Good choice! Yeah I could never take them to those places either, dogs are too cool for that. Its like sending them to death row with like a 10% chance of parole.

Well he's got no chip, or other means fo ID. He's in good health, and has potential. We're happy with our choice.

I can see Vic sitting against a white screen with his kids talking about this dog story....screen cuts-

2012 Ford Focus, saves puppies.

He's a cute little guy, I'd adopt him for sure.

I should send that story to Ford... maybe they'd buy us a new car... (it's a 2007! ;) )
