Looking to start playing

I've been reading about this game for a while. It seems right up my ally, but things fell by the way side, and after recently reading about the sequal, I'm looking into it again. But I really want to try it out before I put any money on it. If any one has, or knows someone who has a trial key or something please let me know. I already have the game installed. Hope to hear from some one soon.

Yes the trials are still disabled as I just checked the station launcher.

Gungho my sub ran out last week, but the population in the game started dropping again. If you are looking for HUGE fights with pop locks at prime time you will be disappointed. There is no trials out at the moment either, so you maybe doing a gamble buying the game. You can buy the game at Direct2Drive (http://www.direct2drive.com/79/product/Buy-PlanetSide:-Aftershock-Download) for $10 if you really want to play. At that cost I think if you really want to try the game it isn't like you are wasting much like buying a $50 game.

If you do try and get in game I highly recommend finding an outfit. You can find outfits recruiting here and on the official forum as there is still a few good ones that are active. Having a outfit as a new player makes learning and playing this game on a whole other level.

Depending on if you want to wait or not you could try holding out for a Beta announcement or another surge in news. That always spikes the population to at least pop locks most of the time, so that would be a good time to join in the fun.

I look at it like this: a one month sub is 13$ I believe. I played more money than that for iPad apps. You should give it a shot.
