I've just registered today and have been reading these forums for the past few hours. And I have come to a conclusion....

If PS2 is going to be free to play. Then you can bet your arse some guy will be top of the boards without spending a penny! He will own you and you will hate him.

I really don't see what SOE can sell to give a player more skill. Creativity in a game like this will ultimately win. So don't worry about what you can buy, just worry about not getting shot in you PJ's!!!!

I'm not sure i like where this thread is going...

Firstly, welcome to PSU.

People whining about selling power is valid, but yes... game forums can sometimes seem like a lot of bitching, moaning gamers. Thank you for starting another useless thread, it gives us all something to do while we wait for PS2 Beta.

I agree with you on one thing, selling power will not necessarily be the end of the game (if it's done cleverly/slyly). I don't agree however on your point that I will be on the top of the leaderboards and not pay a penny to own you all... I'll prolly spend heaps on this game.
