Hey was just thinking about this. What do you guys imagine the environments are going to look like? I know I've read a lot of information about how we are going to have a large variety on single continents.

I was thinking more as what people thought they were doing to do with bases purely speculation of course. What do you guys think they are gonna look like?

I imagine them having a lot more substance to them unlike like the ones in PS1 I would like to very elaborate bases. Maybe some lifts or elevators... Maybe have a base inside a mountain? I dunno.

I would love to see some concept art/screen shots of some bases.

Yup, that's pretty much the view I wanted to see... I would love to see the inside of some bases. I'm sure it's all coming soon.

If that's what everywhere looks like. I'm pretty much pumped for this game.

I rejoiced when I found development was going to take longer. I still am not in a position to purchase that monster gaming computer I have always wanted, and having it spin its fans briefly in its final shakedown run with all the overclocking settings on it set to "Better have the A/C on, Bertie, or she'll shut down", then logging on to find my PS1 account has received a Beta invite would be just wonderful.

I want environments that have dynamic lighting available, so the twin suns, or moons at night, or whatever, can be rendered beautifully, and the lighting from them.

I wonder if they used vector graphics to enable easier dealing with shadows and reflections. Or if vector does that.

Anyway, Yes, I want immersion, aurally and visually. I don't play Planetside because I want to escape into the real world. I play Planetside to escape into Auraxis. The more realistic and immersive, the better.

And the screenshots have been breathtaking. Phenomenal. HUGE sight distances. Wonderful. Some environments are gritty, some open and natural, all beautiful.

The detail is awesome, it really looks like an alien world. I love the shafts of sunlight highlighting the dust, the soft lighting on that comms tower/base thingy looks brilliant as well.

This game continues to look more stunningly beautiful. That photo of the sunlight spilling out over the mountain range is glorious.

I am eager to see what the sight distances are for stuff. Do we vanish 1m outside the Magic Sight Distance Bubble? Or is it unlimited?

Does anyone dispute my THEORY that the structures we have seen so far are towers? They look to be no more than 20m square. Not base-size, by any means.

We all know this game wont look like any of the pictures, but that's not to say it wont look better.

I think we are talking "Halo" (before you get all ragey on me I mean Halo 1, before Xbox Live was "XBox LIve" before they even turned it on) That game was out of this world and nothing to date has come close, in FPS regards.

But from what ive seen in the trailer and some other sources (tomato) around this site, it looks like it will have much deeper caverns and much higher mountains. The landscape looks almost American, but if this is just one continent who am I to say.

And if the building on the trailer is a tower then im good, but if its a base, and I don't think it is then im not very good, they need to be bigger. :(

We are talking vast here, very vast. And please just be 1 world not 12....................(I didn't search this so it could of been confirmed by now)
