Hey. I was thinking about the ESRB rating for Planetside 2, and then I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/planetside2

If you look at the PS2 youtube page, it says that the ESRB rating is "E 10+" for Crude Humor and Fantasy Violence, but the email from SOE we just received says "RP" (rating pending).

Is the Youtube page mistaken? Wouldn't shooting guns warrant at least a "T" rating?

SOE never does gore, or anything remotely sexy beyond some skimpy armor.

Going to have the same rating as the original.

It's not gory, theres no sexiness.

And it will say "Online gaming experience Not Rated by the ESRB."

Case closed.

Needs to get an adult only rating somehow and scare parents away so their kids can't play.

Despite the fact that I want as many players as possible, I feel myself all but giddy with the thought of avoiding playing with a bunch of kids.

Who are we kidding though? An M rating would probably just encourage of lot of kids to want to play it.

All kids are immature and all adults are saints.

It's true, I stopped flaming and being a douche online the minute I turned 21.

18 doesn't count, still teenager. 20 is just a useless age that nothing happens.
21 is when you realize there's nothing else to look forward to....

Good point. Maybe in Europe, thinking about guns is rated M, but in the US of A, kids can shoot them. However, they can't watch porn on public broadcast TV like those little Eurotwerps can.
