That horse isn't gonna move, no matter how hard or how many times you hit it. It's DEAD.

What's up with people's obsessions of dead horses? :p

I got my acceptance on Saturday. They also sent me a gift certificate for a free copy of the game and a lifetime free subscription to the monthly service.
Finally, they asked if I had room for a Cray Supercomputer to run the game on. Apparenlty they had a spare and liked my application so much that they felt I should play in style.

However, I kindly thanked them and said I didn't want to know earlier than anyone else and don't think I should get special treatment so I gave all the stuff back.

Now I am just like you suckers and check the official and un-official websites about every 2 hours or any new shred of information or an indication that I should expect something.

PS. I remember when this same process went on for the Tribes2 beta. I was lucky enough to get into that, but I was checking the boards for new info almost constantly. It was very exciting, but I hope the PS beta is bit more polished than T2 was. It would make testing much more enjoyable.

I checked my e-mail on the tenth, at the same time I do every day, and I was skimming through about 50 spam, scam, and porn e-mails when I noticed an e-mail that told me to "Sign up for the Planetside Beta!"

Well, needless to say, I was overjoyed that they had begun the signup process, and immediately checked that e-mail. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the closed beta signup stopped on November 8th.

I looked at the date I recieved the e-mail.

November 10th.

I recieved an e-mail reminding me to sign up for the beta two days after the deadline to sign up for the beta. So unless the people who send out the e-mails to people who DID get into the beta are on crack, my chances are rather slim.

Woe is me.

I got that too. It was part of the sony newsletter. I think the right hand needs to talk to the left hand.

I have a stupid question to ask. Say I got into beta and came back and told you guys everything about it. Would anyone really go tell sony? Or how would sony ever find out?

LOL.... you guys just killed your beta chances.

I hope you didn't sign up for the beta with these names. First, asking how to get around the rules, then somone helps him out.

Dave G is reading this forum with a red pen in one hand going "COOL, scratch 2 more!" :D
