I am hoping the next two theme weeks are NC and VS. I am TR all the way but we need to see more of the other empires.

But the other empires aren't very finished, judging by what we've seen. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Yeah i highly doubt it would be the other two empires in the next two features. Most likely another aspect will be highlighted.

I'm definitely in Hamma's camp in terms of what I'm hoping comes next, though like some of the other posters, I'm not sure if the other two factions are ready enough for them to be showcased to us. And I mean, if you think about it, the information on the Terrans (while amazing) was still pretty surface-level. We saw 3-4 types of armor, a sidearm, and a vehicle. That's about 5-8% of the digital renderings of the TR. Now, the Q&A was fucking awesome, we learned a ton. But yeah, I dunno if we're gonna get to check out the NC or my beloved Vanu just yet.

But hey, here's hopin' :D

We have already started to see more about the NC, so I could see them surprising us with an NC week.

We saw the NC pistol for the first time ever in some of the TR week pictures last week. Also, while we had already seen the Planetside Next picture of the Vanguard, last weeks awesome base picture showed us the first images of the Vanguard since Planetside 2 was announced. Sure they were tiny and hard to make out in the picture, but it still wouldn't surprise me if that is an indication that the vanguard is close to being ready to be revealed.

The VS we have still seen very little on though, so I'm not sure how much longer it will take on that front.

Here's how the timeline will probably play out:

That's almost two months of time for them to get enough VS stuff to show us. Hopefully by that time we will be getting close to beta, so they better have most of that shit ready.

With any luck, they will start increasing it to new information being posted every week instead of every two weeks.

If they are already thinking about equilibrating the game and showing us some vehicles and stuff, on a project management point of view, i d find it very strange if the NC and VS development is not as advanced as the TR.
Plus they keep on saying the beta will come "sooner than we think" (jan 2012? please !)

It's a bittersweet excitedness for me. I am excited because its more new info; I'm NOT excited because 99% probably gonna be NC week since we have seen barely any VS details. :(

Don't necessarily need fully fleshed out models to do weapons balancing. Just loading up TR models for all sides and going at each other with the complete list of weapons (which more or less could look like bricks for testing purposes) would do.

But it is SOE, and PS2 could be the WoW of MMOFPS-dom, not to mention a title that might earn them all sorts of respect. I like to think they have quite the team behind this project and could get the aesthetics of each empire fleshed out fairly quickly.

Well they have done some NC models, they're featured in the video and we have seen the reaver and vanguard. they're also featured heavily in the TR shots, dying offcourse.

We have seen the magrider, pulsar and some VS armours in the gameplay videos, so development would seem rather good on all empires. VS is also the most played dev empire, possibly because they look AWESOME!

...and anyway Trizzle wont leave his peeps hangin...would he?

I cant see a beta happening until 1 map is fully complete (probably indar willbe featured alot in beta) and they have all the weapons and vehciles ingame, wihtout having all resoucres to test gameplay properally, theres no point, unless they want to do some base fights or TOD's, even then you would still want all the vehciles and everything avalible for players. underlying systems like the skill treess and resources may not be needed though for an early beta. but yea placholder models would work.
