Well actually I was pondering on what the scythe will look like once we get a full view pic of it. But I was suddenly struck that it looked a whole lot like this.....

and the actual Scythe so far

Definitely looking forwards to checking out the new stuff. Im NC at heart but seeing the quality of everything that is being passed to us really just goes to show how great this game will truly be. Planetside will for the 2nd time define an entire genre.
But this time it will have the support and love it needs to not just survive but thrive. We PS1 vets, have stuck with a game for 8 years now, which suffered initially. But now we have a team that loves this thing perhaps even more then we do, who not only champions new ideas but also listens to the players to truly shape the outcome and perfect this game. We were promised a minimum 3 year long term plan for PS2, so that it may continue to evolve beyond its release. Staying in close, purposeful connection with a fanbase that truly wants to see genuine worthwhile content added and maintained.
Highby you said you would give us 3 years, but I have a feeling its gunna go a whole lot longer then that.
Also im calling it now.
Once Planetside 2 hits the shelves, we will see a huge shift in the scope and spectrum of the shooters market. Battlefield, Modern Warfare, all the others are just going to pale in comparison. And are going to struggle in their attempts to copy us. Once PS2 is out there, it will become the industry leader. Then one that when people are pitching will say.... "It will be like Planetside 2 but....". And we will probably see an attempted boom in the MMOFPS realm.
64 Player matches? Ha! We call that a small skirmish on the way to the next tower.
So anyway my hat is perpetually off to the fine staff you guys have rocken over there. And this game will make a one hell of a coming home present when I get back to the states.
Long Live Auraxis, the NC, and Planetside 2!
