Mr Higby please could I recommend the use of Statins to counter act the impact of those lunches on your heart. With out meaning to sound mercenary at least until the game is launched. Alternatively you could go all rebel NC and reach back to your corporate roots opting for a crunchy salad, no dressing.

Joking aside I can feel my arteries hardening (not in a good way) just looking at those lunches.

With that out of the way, yeah I saw the shield too but got distracted. We've seen that structure before but without the shield. I think it is a very interesting dynamic to have structures other than capitol bases that have shield domes. Makes defense easier and more important.

Also, I'd love to see either a longhorn hood ornament like Boss Hog, or a Rolls Royce one. Gotta bling in style.

I think it was that medics and engineers will only have access to SMG and Carbine variants of ES rifles.

So from what I can see of the prowler, it has it's twin cannons back and is that a 30cal single or double barrel machine gun up top, looks to small to be a 50cal.

How are the Van & Prowl going to have their secondary weapon systems added, they don't seem to have space for them as the MAg does?

Prowler is reminiscent of the original, just not as fat. Not sure how I feel about it. Not the most flattering angle I've seen.

I'm going to wait until I see more angles before passing judgement. It doesn't look like the most TR looking thing I've ever seen from this angle though.

But as for the screenshot - two things I would like to know:
1. Gun? I see no laser and the barrel flash is blue so I'm assuming Gauss Rifle. (Cause if that's the lasher... we need a non-movement/firing/night pic lol)
2. What is that interesting overhang on the top right... could this be a new base turret?

It's a large gun with a rail on top and a round barrel on the side, so we can assume it's either a HA or AV... it's either a Lancer or a Jackhammer.

More than likely is NOT the lancer; the gun isn't being fired from the shoulder. It's also cylindrical (from what I can tell). I don't know, I'd guess it's some sort of heavy machine gun or grenade launcher.

mmmm ciabatta. These bases are so much cooler than PS1. Doesn't look like thre is much room for vehicles on that side of the courtyard though. Might make taking the courtyard more of a "house by house" type of thing instead of just zerging it with OS's, tanks and reavers. I like it.

OK, here is what I see in that image. One of the ships in the original fleet lands here. All but the back/engine section is disassembled and reused as housing, maintenance, storage, walls, etc... around the landing area. The glowing parts are built onto the engine section and direct power out and down to maybe a power grid. The protrusions in the middle right of the amp station are the now sealed thruster ports.

I usually go to the cafeteria for lunch, but that can be anywhere between 10 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., whever that set of experiments finish. Worse still, because I work with sometimes dangerous materials, I can't even have snacks at my desk. That's why I've made it a point to avoid this thread until I've got a burger in front of me, too.

i got a stormtrooper and a stealth commando trooper armor, but my burger diet gave me a little more stomach volume than it seems to give to matt ;-)
so i´m afraid i cannot wear the trooper anymore.

but for the next soe costume party... put t-ray into a vader suit ;-)

I was wondering that, too. How much would it cost to have a professional art studio make a realistic suit of Vanu reinforced exoskeletal armor. Well, assuming that's what Engineers wear. If they just wear standard, then I'd want standard.

It would presumably be thousands of dollars. What a pity.

their sauron is original size like in the film and their robocob has an automatic opening gun compartment in the leg like in the movies.

i saw them with their robocops at a convention and at gamescon with this group plus gandalf:

their appearence was amazing. my chin fell down when i saw sauron and the wraiths approaching me in a tunnel sauron hardly fits into ;-)
i didn´t dare to raise my blaster against them ;-)
