Now I know this will of been posted a maillion times, but look what we have been seeing for the past few weeks. Not look at the trailer??? Notice anything?
,fast moving, vehicles, buildings, guns, nozzle flares, trees, mozzies, towers!!! It seems to me the things we are seeing is the finishing touches to a game that has already been built.

Not for a company to do this is unknown to me. And I am so glad they have even taken the time out to come to a fan site. that is big kudos (PGR) to me.
Good work! I know you have so much more to share but you wont intill the time is rite!
Any VS pictures anybody? No, they keeping alot from us. But i do know they are listening to the community. And that my friends is a big thing in the gaming world.
Morto.
IIRC the animations in that were confirmed not final by T-Ray.

I know it wasn't final, they will of put this together with the best of the game they had at the time. The point im making is the game was 80% done in that video. The finishing touches is what we have been seeing since. You can split 20% into alot of fine tuning! In fact PS1 makes up 60% of PS2.

The trailer never really showed anything to be honest. Just a bunch of weapons shooting, everybody standing around, nobody dying. There is so much more to PlanetSide, and to estimate how far the development is based off that is pointless.

I sorta realized this yesterday too. I was thinking like "we havnt seen ANY VS soldiers so far, wonder if they have it even done yet" and then I realized we could see them long ago, although briefly, in that trailer.
Wonder why are they holding out on VS stuff so long, though, seeing that they were pretty much the first things shown in the trailer :D

We already know why. Best for last.

Well, I'm working door-to-door with a game development studio and you would be surprised how polished a game might look (especially if you watch a video with good-looking clips from a build made specifically to show off stuff for that video;)), but still have a long road ahead of it.
Tweaking, balancing, playtesting, rebalancing, and of course creating permanent game assets to replace temporary ones... There's always shitloads more to do, even after launch (and I'm not even referring to patches with bug fixes). :)

Work on your thread posting kid. From spelling to sentence structure to topic, you got some work to do. Then maybe I'll post in another one.

If you think about it, really the only thing the trailer shows off is the engine, proof of concept, and a very small map area. There are only a few models, 3 vehicles, a few guns, and one tower exterior. They are getting closer, but still a long way to go. At this point, they might have 2 complete continents done with 3 others in early to mid work in progress stages. It is certainly getting closer, but a ways to go yet.
