I'm worried that this game will take over my life like PS1 did. I can imagine myself playing this for hours and hours on end and my wife and kids leaving me because of it and possibly losing my job because i would rather be playing planetside 2. Please PLEASE HALP!

You don't know the pain, what it means to be addict.

Waking up in a cold sweat head throbbing, still sitting in front of your computer desk. A grimy feeling on your forehead... Pizza rolls and hot pockets, something wet running down your leg. You look down, you must have spilled soda, or something... Hopefully it's soda. You don't really remember what happened, all you can think of was that last battle. Those last few moments before you fell into oblivion, it was at Gunuku... But what happened? Suddenly you remember.

3 days.

3 days you sat there continuously, not bathing, not going to work... Nothing. On day 2 your remember your wife yelling. You don't really know what about you weren't paying attention, you were in the middle of a heated base defense. What was it she was yelling about?

You manage to stand up, your legs sore from the lack the of movement. You stumble into the bathroom. You take a good look in the mirror where you see a miserable version of your self. Your eyes bloodshot, the bags under them make you look like a raccoon. The grease in your hair, you try to run your fingers through it. They catch on the knots that fill your hair. It stands on end.

Finally you manage to get into the shower.

Ah, satisfaction.

You think long and hard about what happened. Most of it's a blur. After your long shower you grab a towel. Sit down, back at your computer desk and begin anew.

Many times, it's the next base, the next tower... I look up, it's 4am+ and gotta go to work... Get my wife or son to drive so I can get online during the 45 min trip hooking up on 3G. I tell them to not go under that long bridge because it cuts off my connection, so take the highway up top.

PS did lend itself very well to the 8-hr gaming session...

Luckily the progression system will be kinda like Eve Online. I took up playing Eve one year when i really needed to maintain focus on my career and studies. Offline training and progression meant i barely had to log in or leave the stations haha

Hi my name is Atuday and I am a planetsideaholic. Some people think I play too much of this game but I argue that they play too little. With planetside 2 coming out soon I have started giving people I meet "free samples". So far I have several hooked and begging for me to give them more. As I think about life I wonder why oh why this game can't be my day job and why I must go to work to pay for it. Thats ok I plan to make the people I get hooked pay me. Somehow some way I will turn gaming into my day job. On another note I should really write a custom resume to SOE so they will hire me.
