The site owners said iT's possible because some games can be voted on through Java Applets or whatever embedded on their sites, which generates votes but no clicks.

Does not explain the ludicrous amount of votes though, just the lack of corresponding clicks

I don't think it's because they are lazy. It's because they are stupid, don't care, or actually want the cheating to make it look like their site is getting that much traffic.

They wrote an article bragging about how that Crossfire game was getting soooo many votes because it is such a great game with such a great community. HA! Anybody with half a brain knows those votes are junk too.

It's sad that people actually care so much as to harass each other for thinking their game will win. What does it even matter if the Firefall devs 'bribed' them to vote? Seemed more like an incentive. Scrolling through that page and reading some of the comments, alot of people need to get out their computer chair and get a life. Arguing over a damn game poll and bitching at each other is fucking idiotic.
