Well mine will simply be this. To stop smoking. I hate them horrid little cancer sticks! Ive tried so many times, but never really had a go while working for myself. So If I can crack it just for a few months, I know I will be rid of them blasted things forever!!
Good luck all with your resolution.

If you actually value your life, ship yourself to some desert island somewhere with no communications whatsoever, lots of food and water, and find ways to keep your mind occupied.
A month or two later, you will realize you can live without them. Of course, someone else can always be a grandfather to your grandkids, or father to your kids in the event of your untimely passing.

You put it so....... not sure.
But your rite. And thats what I need to be thinking like, to help me beat these terrible little things of death!

Used to smoke 3x packs/day. Quit for 10 years then started up again. Now quit again, been about 3 years now without cigs. Was the hardest thing I did the second time around.

A poem I wrote on a matchbook when I was 12 to motivate my mom to stop smoking, which I found years later in her drawer of memories:
You huff, you puff, you suck in the stuff
Isn't your life short enough?
Imagine the cigarette as a giant cigarette-shaped representative of whatever group you find most disgusting, swaggering into the room the day of your wake, getting all sloppy with your wife, being hugged by your ex-kids.
Teaching your kids to smoke, too, in your absence. Leaving huge ashes everywhere. Making your now ex-wife pregnant so she gives birth to packs of Cohibas. Filling the house with smoke, burning it down with your whole ex-family in it...
Yeah, you could keep smoking.
From Wikipedia:
For one of our tobacco companies to commission this study (AD Little Report concluding that smokers save the state money - by dying early) was not just a terrible mistake, it was wrong. All of us at Philip Morris, no matter where we work, are extremely sorry for this. No one benefits from the very real, serious and significant diseases caused by smoking. We understand the outrage that has been expressed and we sincerely regret this extraordinarily unfortunate incident. We will continue our best efforts to do the right thing in all our business, acknowledging mistakes when we make them and learning from them as we go forward.
Haha, to hear a tobacco company actually say "yup, we will save the gov't money by smokers killing themselves with tobacco" is a new day, indeed.

I've smoked since I was 16. Never really tried to quit myself. I've always enjoyed smoking and never really had the want to quit. It does cut a hole in your wallet though...

Work off the holiday weight I started gaining on Haloween. I succeed every year....by September....
Actually I'd really like to start working towards a pilot's licsense. Once I started taking care of my younger brother, life kind of stalled.

They got the best hardware, and I've bought like 5 or 6 other brands. Haven't smoked for like 3 years now.

Play the shit out of Planetside 2.
If I haven't gotten to play it before January 1st 2013, I will drive back to California, find Higby's house and personally... Give him some delicious sandwiches and ask him to let me into the friends and family testing because seriously, I can't wait any longer.
But I doubt it will come to that.
Oh and I'll try and drink less soda or something, blah blah blah, etc.
Screw doing something hard, I resolve to do something fun.

I think its time to review my life :)
Its been a crazy year to be fair, but I have drank way to much, smoked way to much. I enjoyed all of it, but 2012 is the year to put my health first, I mean FFS im 31 and 32 next year.
And I can see StartCraft 2, Planetside 24-7 keeping me going untill the game comes out, they like you say Xyntech ill be playing the shit out of it.

If you need drastic measures, ship yourself off to a desert island where there are no smokes, no communications, and lots of fresh air, sunshine, and good food and water. I mean, how much is the last 20 years of your life worth? Worth taking a year off from the sputum stix.
OH, I want to be positive. Hamma helped me to see that.

£6.75 a pack and I was buying 2 packs a day, thats a new car in the UK.
But now I have stopped, today actually, had my second of last one last night.
And here is my last one, the one i wont have sitting right in front of me. The idea behind this is.. One of the big issues with being a smoker is always making sure you have some, when you run out its a rush to the shops, now I dont have to think that as i have one sitting right in front of me. I'm just not going to smoke it.

It's not a new years resolution, because those always fail! But!
Before Planetside 2 Is released I'm gonna get my body battle ready and loose 15kg(107atm), so down to 90ish and get my stamina(running) or w/e it's called up.
:)
ot: I've allready started working out, and it's amazing what(I guess) Endorphin do to you. I've noticed a major mood change, I'm always happy and shit:p

You like endorphins, try this:
Warm shower, then put onto cold for 5 mins, do this once or as many times as you like, but always end on a cold. This releases them into your body to, done it many times.
Sounds nasty but makes you feel fantastic!
Edit, oh and BTW well done, I can fault nobody for doing something that makes them feel good! As long as it doesn't make anybody else feel bad :D well done!

I started my New Years Resolution early.
Been heading to the gym since November. Mostly doing cardio to get my weight down. Was doing Couch to 5k on the iPhone, but found a great HIIT cardio workout. I started it Monday. Basically it's a 5 minute warm-up, then a 30 second sprint and then a 60 second cooldown. The program has it set up for 6 rotations like that. If you Google, "Lose Belly Fat Workout" it'll explain it all.
So Monday, after the workout, I was floating on cloud 9. I'm like, "Shit, this is gonna be easy". Last night, after the workout, a completely different result, "Damn, this hurts like a mother!". Yeah, I was pretty soar, so I popped a few Aleve and all was right with the world.
But I woke up this morning and I can physically see a difference. I'm chalking it up to the fact that my body was pretty much conditioned for this while I was doing the Couch to 5k regimen, about 8 weeks of running every other day.
My goal is to be able to go shirtless in Virginia Beach this summer and not feel like I'm going to be rolled back into the sea.

I now have a choice in life.
1. To go for it and do something amazing with my life, and to never stop untill I have no more!
2. Pick that little sucker up and grab a lighter!

I'm one of the insanely lucky people that just never got addicted to smoking. I smoke 'socially' sometimes, but i haven't done it in like 8 months and i've never felt a need to.
I'm starting running again too. I've been blessed with a very good natural physique. I'm 6'2 with broad shoulders, but with pretty small bones while not being lanky. However, i have to work fucking hard to stay in shape as my natural metabolism is amazingly terrible.
Gym, 5km runs every other day and back to playing Openside Flanker for my Rugby team i go. The 9am games on Sunday mornings kill me.
