Well... when you look at the poll on the homepage, there are two ways of looking at things. It depends on how you see the half filled/empty glass. Beta does generate a lot of news. Sites like PSU are going to be having quite a thrill, but I think as the release comes closer, people will notice everyone avoiding other people. Soon PSU will have to create different forums for different empires because a sense of distrust after a while. I doubt a lot of the people who were here for a while will feel this way, but newer people will likely feel this way. The idea of everyone at each other's throuts will definitely break the community up.

yes, secretcy will be big, but what good will seperate froums do? i can always go read the NC/Tr forums. :D not that I would...

and as me and a fellow forumer just showed, you don't need a game to be at each others throuts :D

Meh, i would think the mature gamers can make the difference between forums and game.

Other than not talking about plans for taking base X on continent Y i don't see why people couldn't talk amongst each other and get along. :)

I doubt the day will come we will need empire specific forums, because the management of giving everyone access to whatever forum would be a pain in the butt. But only time will tell, no idea what will happen when the game is released. Nor do I have any plans on how to deal with it. Yet :D

Being covert about attacks, etc will be critical. Which means you would not be posting about them in public. And if you do, you will probably be removed from your outfit hehe. This and other forums, will be more of a place to discuss past battles and whats going on in the community.

But again, who knows what the future will bring ;)

Can just use IRC or a private board (a la EzBoard) if you want to speak of secret things without the walls listening per say.

Yea 90% of clans have private forums. Something PSU will be providing eventually :D

Ah i know we all need to be mature adults and stop whinning about stupid things, and just get along, the game is there for fun, not so you can have at one another months before it comes out! Really peple we are better then that...

well the Vanu will be 97% the winners cause they will win, except TR and NC wil still drop from they sky from time to time, NC 2% cause they still have Mary Jane, and TR 1% cause they need a %.

Hope the Vanu doesn't always win... reminds me of Team PvP (good races vs. dark races) on EQ... the dark races general ripped the good races into good little pieces of fluff.

I'm looking for fluctuations depending on the intelligence of the enemy and the tactics there of... not a free-for-all zerg fest.

And the Vanu can suck it :blowup:

How can you argue against high tech weaponary ? :D
Besides shotguns suck. never liked them never will. (well ok maybe i liked the shotgun in SoF2 but that's it.)

Sites like PSU will mostly host class forums in which you can discuss how to fly those mosquitos best, or how to take out a MAX best.
All the secret stuff forums will be provided by the major outfits / alliances and they will give the password only to well known commanders or outfitmembers.

Indeed, Running a Fansite after a game is released and before a game is released are 2 completly different animals.

Either way, we will find somthing to do :D
