I agree. It looks like a giant tower with a shield around it. In the trailer it was a "comm" outpost. Somewhat familiar but the shield is really spiffy. I think we've seen it in other screenshots though.

We have definitely seen it before in concept art. I guess from my perspective I never realized their true scale. I think that would make a cool "air base". Smaller then a normal base but bigger then a tower. You could launch aircraft and it could probably have some aircraft related benefits or super sick sensor suite.

I LOVE the variation in the facilities.

Is that the sun in the picture? Too solid and bright in the daylight to be the moon. Is this the first time we've seen the actual defined edges around the sun?

I guess they must be tweaking some of the settings like the HDR and bloom of the sun. Can't wait to see what the final product looks like since the early shots are already amazing. Sometimes those small subtle tweaks at the end make 10x the difference of the bigger stuff.

it's just a forgelight sun ray. watch the full day/night cycle video to see how the sun rays come in and out. i bet it does limit your vision but it is not always there.

i bet it is even only for certain angles at a certain moment as well. like- if you were on the other side of that sun ray the video game glare wouldn't be inhibiting your view
