So will the factions accommodate for camouflage?

So we've been told. We have evidence of desert camoflauge on a Terran Heavy Assault Armor and on a Vanu Sovereignty Mag-Rider. Naturally, I like to believe that means we'll see forest, urban, and arctic camo selections at least. Don't know how good they'll be however, since they're supposed to still be somewhat representing their Empire's colors. Otherwise... why NOT use camo?

I would say it is most likely a certainty that there will be camo patterns we can BUY in the SOE store.

yeah I'd say camo will probably be a store item.

Camouflage:
I suspect this is something to beta-test if it's suppose to actually work like camouflage and not just cosmetic style-changes.

That concept totally slipped my mind. Thanks for slapping me across the face, I apparently needed it :)

I was wonder how they are gonna do camouflage for the NC with the blue and the gold and so on. They just seem like they will stand out like a sore thumb during the day. Maybe something like this. Tiger stripe would be cool.

Selling camo in cash shop gets close'ish to selling power. Games like Planetside it wouldn't have been. You could've had the best camo in the world in game and still stick out from the environment. Now go play something like BF3 with someone having a proper camo and you really can't see them unelss you know "hey, that pixel shouldnt be there".
It sorta depends on the artstyle and all that, but I'm fairly sure with such a hi-tech engine PS2 uses, a camoed soldier will be extremely hard to spot if they are still.
At least some "basic camo" for each environment should be available for anyone, at least through progress. Some fancier and different/unique camos can be in cash shop, but selling ALL camos in cash shop would IMO not be a good idea.

Cammo isn't just a cosmetic thing here, and could actually help people disguise their movements. Erego I think it should be a skill tree unlock, if not automatically given to all soldiers. The empires armors still look different, so once you spot the shape you'll be able to tell right away which empire you're shooting at. Plus, once a bullet does hit them, the shield flare will probably be the telltale sign too.

Come on guys....there is no way that they would make real camo to blend into your surroundings.
Camo patterns is what I can see em doing.
No matter what pattern you have....blue and gold will stand out on a snow covered field.
