Crashes

How is the damage model in PS? I've seen destroyed buggies, and bullet holes. But what about aircraft?

1. Does hitting the ground mean automatic destruction and death? Or will it be like some fighter aircraft sims, where you can bounce off the ground, just damaging and loosing bits of your plane? (And possible walk away from a crash landing?)

2. What about crashing in the water? Same as the ground? Or will you just sink, and have to bail out and hope to be close to land?

Crashing, you kinda bounce a little like in Tribes but take damage ,water pretty much ends it for yah ;)

2. When I played back in dec, the vehicle would just disable when it got into the water

But the operating of damaged planes?
So if I'm a skeeter, and I'm attacked, but escape, and my, let's call it "health" of the plane is like 5. Does that mean I can still fly? Or if it get's that low, the plane starts to to go down? And can you try to land it?

Or what about a belly landing, or a "contolled crash" as I call it :D.

Commander: "Pilot! That was terrible!"
Pilot: "Hey, it was a contolled crash man. :cool:"

Which was my second question. Can you walk away from a controlled crash?
You're plane is crashing. And you tip the nose up enough, that it hits the ground and skids, hence the name "a belly landing."
Then you just get out, dust yourself off, and walk away.
