the spawn room looks a lot more open with multiple levels to enter from the look of it. That should make for some interesting fights.

Looking cool, looking cool. Just about all the visuals I've seen so far couldn't be better. The image isn't the best quality but it looks like it has the same kind of enclosed, metallic-room feel as PS1's spawn rooms, while at the same time larger with more props.

The visual department are NAILING this game.

I honestly don't like the name Achievements. Not for a MMO game based around Military.

Medals are something you receive in the military.

"Private Johnson, you are to be awarded the Get Shot Achievement." in place of a Purple Heart?

Achievements are a fantastic way of exploiting psychology to try and get people addicted to a game that needs to be played for a long time by a lot of people to generate profits :L MMO's almost never don't have them.

Don't bother me in the slightest. Medals would be nice though, that you can physically place on your persona.

Yea i hate achievements too, stupid consoles and there achievments.

i they're as rare of an occurrence as PS1, i cant see them been a problem with flashing on your screen, as im pretty sure they did in ps1.

I bet they will continue to call it "achievements" to attract the other crowd. I'm pretty sure the PS2 team is the largest team SOE has, and I'm sure that with all the resources they're putting into the game, they will do what they can to attract more gamers...including calling merits "achievements".

Personally, I don't have have a problem with that. Its more familiar to most people, which also means more people to pwn during epic battles.
